Welcome to Red Mountain House,
Accommodation consists of 6 double luxury rooms furnished with turn of the century antiques, four poster beds, fine linen and persian carpets. Each room has a sitting area with an open fireplace and comfortable Morris chairs, where complimentary drinks and chocolates await your arrival. Fully tiled bathrooms are en-suite with a shower,bath and wall heater. For your comfort, under-tile heating takes the chill from cold winter nights whilst ceiling fans cool those balmy summer evenings.
Our Standard Room is decorated with a subtle ethnic touch and has either one king or two twin beds. The Standard Room has a private, tree-shaded balcony over-looking the Village Green, a bathroom with shower & heater, under-tile heating and a ceiling fan.
Our self-catering apartment is decorated with a subtle ethnic touch and can sleep up to four people. The apartment has one bedroom (either 1 king or 2 twin beds), a double futon sleeper couch in the lounge, a private balcony with wonderful mountain views & braai facilities, a fireplace & ceiling fan, a bathroom with bath & shower and a well appointed kitchen.
Children are welcome in the apartment. Book both the apartment and Standard Room and we will unlock the inter-leading doors to create a 6 sleeper self catering apartment.

Love the mountains for a nice hike.
A variety of restaurants and shops to explore.
We love exploring Golden Gate, wondering through the shops in the Town and visiting our favourite Clarens Brewery. We enjoy supporting the smaller farm restaurants in the area. Highland Brew was a lovely new addition to this trip.
Variety
Main roads to town are recommended for daylight use only. Small town atmosphere but with a wide variety of activities and stores. The annual Titanic Challenge Trail Run was my main attraction - stunning views!

Love all the shops and restaurants there is. Surrounded by mountains. Perfect breakaway for winter or summer.

Small, quaint, but very lively little town with spectacular views all around. Hiking is a must and can be done on the edge of town. We stayed at Views and the hiking trail was on our back door. Beautiful, beautiful little town offering great food, culture, entertainment and beautiful hiking trails.
