In spring, enjoy the world-renowned flowers in this Serengeti of the floral kingdom (This area is known as” the Bulb Capital of the World” with the highest speciation of indigenous bulbous flowers on Earth). Experience rich bird life, fauna, San rock art. Swim in the cool waters of a natural rockpool, or in the pools at the cottages, Hike the trails through sandstone rock formations and bring your mountain bikes

Superb! Accommodation absolutely wonderful, hosts very friendly and welcoming, beautiful surrounding landscape
DeLande house was well equipped and very tasteful periodic furnishings, peaceful and quaint.
Meals at Papkuilsfontein restaurant 5+star, delicious and magnificent in every aspect.
Uitstekende fasiliteite met alles wat nodig is in 'n baie mooi omgewing. Hoop om in toekoms weer daar te kan bly.
Beautiful and peaceful surroundings made the stay at Papkuilsfontein unforgettable. The romantic and charming Rondekraal cottage, was luxurious with everything we've needed and more. A lovely farm stay with kind and enthusiastic hosts:-) The short drive and walk to the magical gorge is recommended, especially during sunset.
Very friendly and considerate host, breathtakingly beautiful farm and surrounds, very comfortable rooms and living spaces. Good value for money and a very unique and special getaway, definitely recommended!

Nature experiences
We love going on alternate routes and roads less travelled. Nieuwoudtville is at the crossroads of several of these. It is delightfully antique and rural and the scenery is stark and harshly beautiful. We recommend the waterfall (even if not flowing) and the quiver tree forest and the Brandkop village ruins (for photographers).

Stayed at Karabo Lodge Self Catering. Well recommended.
Besides the annual spring flower show there are various other points of interest such as the waterfalls and kloof, the Kokerboom forest, an amazing private motorbike collection and the Oorlogskloof a little further.
Fantastic flowers in Nieuwoudtville.
It is a great destination in the flower season.
We were lucky to have beautiful weather and the display flowers on the various farms were superb.
We particularly liked the trekpad with its large variety of annual flowers.
We enjoyed the local cuisine at Matjiesfontein padstal & Smidswinkel restaurant.
