Welcome to Platrand Lodge, Our 4 Star Platrand Lodge is in a malaria free area and 2 hours from Durban and 3 hours from Johannesburg. Established on the farm Fourie’s Kraal on the Southern boundaries of Ladysmith, Kwazulu-Natal. Constructed in the style of the colonial era with long overhanging roofs and generous verandahs, and set in an enchanting valley, Platrand Lodge has so much to offer: from luxury accommodation to conference and wedding facilities with impressive views and friendly service.

Our Stay was simply Excellent and Erica is a super host..
We had a great stay, even got to see some wild animals, got there very late on Friday evening but the guard was gave excellent service.
The accommodation was clean and tidy. Staff was friendly and very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay!
Platrand is a country type of lodge. It is ideal for my business trips, the food is good and the farm style breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful. The lodge is located okay. Ladysmith doesn't have a variety to choose from when stay over.
This country lodge seems to cater more for business and contracting guests rather than romantic getaways. The room was spacious and comfortable. The food is good value for money and the breakfast was sufficient.
A very nice place to stay !! Nice rooms...nice people and good food....AND a fantastic garden.
After diner a drink in the bar with TV was nice too.
Rooms very clean and a nice sitting outside.
Walking in the garden, and spotting some birds and other wildlife was great.
