Reviews
I feel like I should've waited until we'd stayed at Vineyard Views before giving any "excellent" reviews as it has outdone all the other top-rated places we've stayed at (locally and around the world).
We felt like royalty the whole weekend. Freshly baked orange drizzle cake, tea served in fine bone china and a crackling fire greeted us (along with 3 adorable dogs).
The room was magnificent, with every detail (and more) carefully considered. Evening canapes and the most delicious breakfasts featured fresh ingredients and home-baked delights. Two nights was just not enough.
Gareth and Grant were wonderful hosts (although Harrison, Juno and Olivia stole our hearts - affectionate, well-behaved pooches).
We have found our new favourite place and will be back!
Riebeek Kasteel itself has also blossomed into a wonderful combination of rustic, old world charm and trendy, arty places to explore.
The fact that every single review to date has rated Vineyard Views as “excellent”, tells a story. We had a wonderful anniversary weekend. Beautiful setting, fantastic accommodation, delicious food and top class service. Thanks Gareth and Grant!
Magnificent, magical, marvelous are a few words that come to mind when I reflect back on this incredible experience. You absolutely cant beat it, you’re winning all the way. Perfection in every sense of the word. Charming & delightful. Do yourself a favor book, you’ll thank me later.
What an absolutely incredible break we had at Vineyard Views Country House. Garett and Grants attention to detail, mouth watering meals, breath-taking views and willingness to assist and share has left us feeling very sad at the thought of returning to the city!! We will absolutely be back- hopefully annually. Cannot recommend this beautiful place highly enough. Thank you both.
OMG! What a fantastic experience.
We were booked for two nights and extended our stay.
This is a "top drawer" place to stay. Gareth and Grant are amazing hosts.
There is perfect attention to detail from start to finish.
The rooms are special.
The food....mostly homemade is incredible.
Treat yourself now....you do not need a reason....just get there.
Well done to the whole Vineyard Views Team.
We will be back....soon.

Nice restaurants!
Near to Cape Town
Lovely town for eating good food, meeting friendly people, relaxing and just chilling out
The oldest hotel in South Africa. Delicious meal at Pinata.
Beautiful village with interesting shops and places to eat

Nice artistic vibe.
the variety, the quality and quantity of restaurants, the views
Cafe Felix is lovely. We had dinner there. Wonderful atmosphere. The quiet of the town. At night you can "hear" the silence. Beautiful place.
The wonderful location, the views, the mountains and the local people. We met a fantastic artist call Piet Blom, and his wife Hester! His paintings are all about trees, and the complexity in his art is incredible!! We bumped into Mornè du Plessis, what a great man! And Roberto the Italian owner of Angies is a great host and looking after every patron personally.
For me the people, the unique town setup and the wine and nature and the simplicity of all makes it a great destination.
Beans about coffee!!
