Situated in the Upper Karoo town of Colesberg, Crane Cottage offers both self-catering and bed and breakfast accommodation. The establishment is a quiet and relaxing abode with large en-suite bedrooms that open onto the veranda.
A full English breakfast is served on request in our dining room. We are within walking distance of three restaurants and a lovely coffee / gift shop.
In Room Facilities:Six Standard Rooms:
The standard rooms are en-suite rooms which feature DStv and tea / coffee facilities. Both clean towels and bed linen are provided on a daily basis. The room sleeps a maximum of three guests and each room has its own entrance. Fans, heaters and electric blankets are provided for hot summers and cold winters!
Three Luxury Rooms:
The luxury rooms sleep a total of four guests in two bedrooms. The rooms are spacious with both air-conditioning and a ceiling fan. There is an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The rooms also have a TV with DStv as well as a fridge and microwave.
Self Catering Unit:
The self catering unit sleeps a total of six guests in two bedrooms. One room is furnished with a double bed and sleeper couch and the other has two single beds. There is also a sleeper couch in the lounge. The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. The lounge is equipped with a TV and DStv.
We are in walking distance of three restaurants and a lovely gift & coffee shop. Try us I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Colesberg Reviews
We stayed at Colesberg for the night, while travelling from Johannesburg to Cape Town. Staying at Little Farm, we enjoyed a light dinner and the most delicious slap chips, while enjoying the pet-friendly and child friend outdoor area.

The beautiful accommodation and their cleanliness.
Colesberg the town has really gone down, rubbish everywhere, dirty and dusty. However as we stayed in the wonderful lodge outside of the town, we will overnight again in the area, as it is in the middle of Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Friendly people and just the right distance from Gauteng to take a break.
Spectacular view of animals and the mountains.
The roads are in great condition, we did not go into the town.
