Welcome to Guinea-fowl Guesthouse.
Away from the noise of the main street you will find Guinea-Fowl Guest House. Your hosts Jan and Louise Augustyn invite you to experience true and sincere Karoo hospitality. Our guests become our friends and come back time after time again to us whenever they need to overnight in Colesberg.
We are an AA-recommended Guest House. Starting at your own outside entrance each room has an en-suite bathroom, coffee/tee trays and a bar fridge. For the winter you will have electric blankets and heaters and for the summer roof fans. You will be served a full breakfast or continental breakfast in the lounge area on request.
Some guests sit down relax and watch TV in the TV lounge area. Most spend time in the tranquil garden with its many corners to relax in and there is space for the kids to enjoy themselves and run around. We are walking distance from a few restaurants in town. Take time to relax at Guinea-Fowl Guest House with its safe off the street parking outside your room and on the premises.
Next time remember to call Jan or Louise for your overnight accommodation needs in Colesberg.

A lovely and nice place to stay. The owner, Jan, is very friendly and always willing to assist. The location of the guesthouse is good. The room is tidy and clean and well equipped. The breakfast is definitely the talk of the day...so much food and freshly prepared.
Reception good. Room and bathroom clean.
We always enjoy our stay at Guinea Fowl. The hospitality is great.
Ons het vir een nag oornag. Baie skoon en gerieflik. Vriendelike ontvangs. Mooi tuin om te ontspan na lang rit. Baie dankie. Kar veilig.stil straat.
What a service, what peace! Thank you Jan for such an excellent service in a quiet and beautiful place. The nature and maintenance thereof, makes this B&B above the rest! Will certainly come back and this will be our place of rest to Jo'burg!!
Friendly host, very helpful. Relaxed atmosphere, cozy room. Communal kitchen a bonus. Will definitely visit again.

Colesberg Reviews
We stayed at Colesberg for the night, while travelling from Johannesburg to Cape Town. Staying at Little Farm, we enjoyed a light dinner and the most delicious slap chips, while enjoying the pet-friendly and child friend outdoor area.
Easy access from the highway
Beautiful surroundings
Well positioned between Gauteng and the Cape Coast
The beautiful accommodation and their cleanliness.
Colesberg the town has really gone down, rubbish everywhere, dirty and dusty. However as we stayed in the wonderful lodge outside of the town, we will overnight again in the area, as it is in the middle of Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Friendly people and just the right distance from Gauteng to take a break.
Spectacular view of animals and the mountains.
The roads are in great condition, we did not go into the town.
Just travelling through ....
