African Dawn Coffee Shop is open Monday to Saturday from 07H30 to 17H30.
Calvinia is situated in the Northern Cape about halfway between Cape Town and Upington. The town is at the foot of the Hantam Mountains. Hantam being a Khoi word meaning “where the red bulbs grow.”

What a delightful place to stay! The room was more than just a bedroom and had a small but well equipped kitchen. The whole place was tastefully appointed and spotlessly clean. Our breakfast and dinner were very generous and so delicious. They took extra care to provide for alternate food for me that was gluten free. We will definitely go back!
Such a lovely, neat, well-organized and pleasant stay in Calvinia. Top quality rooms and first class breakfast! Well recommended.
