SILO COTTAGE:
Up market, warm and comfortable, spacious and well furnished. Magnificent mountain views and river frontage. Distance from Underberg village is 12kms and close to the Sani Pass to Lesotho.
Comfortable cottage with total peace and quiet. Magnificent berg views, with great outdoor entertainment area with braai and firepit. Plenty of grassy space for children to play.
The cottage can comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests and comprises three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a kitchen, and a lounge area. The master bedroom contains a double and a single bed and boasts an en-suite bathroom and a walk-in closet. The second bedroom contains a double bed and is located upstairs, in the silo section of the cottage and also features an en suite. This room boasts spectacular views of the berg, farmland and the river. The third bedroom contains three single beds, and is downstairs with a bathroom.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with a stove top and oven plus a microwave, two fridge-freezers, and a walk-in pantry. The dining room is located off the kitchen and seats 8 comfortably at a large round table.
Guests are welcome to walk on the farm and along the river.
CONVERTED STONE BARN:
The rustic charm of a converted stone barn set in the majestic Drakensberg mountains. Soak up the wonders of nature on the patio with uninterrupted berg views as cattle, horses graze nearby, enjoy a stroll down to the Mkimkhulu river.
The stone barn has one bedroom with a queen size bed and ensuite bathroom. The living area has a large open space lounge/kitchen area. The stone barn is most suitable as a romantic getaway.
At the Stone Barn you have a range of spaces to enjoy, a private garden/patio area and easy access to the river and the area around the cottage.
THE CROFTERS COTTAGE:
Get away from it all and enjoy nature and tranquility here. A quaint stone cottage that has been thoughtfully renovated to be a perfect family getaway/time with friends. Amazing views of the Berg to relax with family and friends on a working cattle and horse stud farm. Guests can enjoy on- site hikes and river frontage for birding, fly fishing and picnics. The cottage is only 15 minutes from the village of Underberg.
The cottage sleeps 6 in 2 queen beds and 2 single beds. The kitchen is fully equipped and the bathrooms have showers.
A quiet relaxed space to enjoy the great outdoors with a walk, run or cycle. Enjoy your morning coffee/ sundowners/braai on the deck with stunning berg views. The Crofters Cottage has access to river frontage of the Mzimkuku River and farm walks

The neighborhood is quiet and without traffic. The road is a farm cul de sac so no through traffic. The closest neighbors are cows, horses, and birdlife mostly.

We had a great time staying at the Stone Barn, the accommodation is clean and authentic to the berg with breathtaking views from the front door as far as the eye can see. The complimentary fire lighters and stockpile of wood were unexpected. Relaxed and hassle free hosting from Jane. Will be back.
Had the best holiday ever! I loved Jane the host such a nice lady, beautiful house and very private. I would go there again and again.
We travel often to the Berg We truly enjoyed our time at Silo Cottage and Jane the host is a really nice and helpful lady.

Mountain views and the breath of fresh air
It's far enough away from all the hubub to really feel like you're away from it all but also has a lot available to do if you so wish. The scenery is beautiful and the air is fresh!
Hiking, swimming, relaxing.
If you're in to adventure, then Underberg is the place to visit. There's no shortage of trails for running, hiking and mountain biking. It's close to the Drakensberg and Sani Pass.
Breath-taking beautiful! Well stocked convenience store (Elands Rest) and a few nice restaurants to have coffee. Just very cold, even in Nov.
Scenery in the surroundings.
For us its all about the hiking in the mountains.
