Take some time off and unwind at the remote farm just outside Wolmaransstad. Die Geel Huis renders delectable meals and relaxing accommodation whilst enjoying the tranquil atmosphere of the reserved setting. The premises is spaciously set out within walking distance around the centred restaurant & bar. There are 19 rooms for accommodation with their own covered parking space. There is also a playground for kids with a trampoline, swings, jungle gym and a coop with various farm birds to watch.
In Room Facilities:All guesthouse rooms are equipped with their own bathroom, air-conditioning, TV and selected DStv channels. All rooms can accommodate two guests, with the Standard Triple Room as the exception which can accommodate up to four guests. A complimentary breakfast will be served from 7h00 to 8h00 from Mondays to Fridays, and from 8h00 to 9h00 on Saturdays & Sundays. Unfortunately breakfast will not be served on public holidays and no room cleaning service is available on public holidays.
Area Information:Wolmaransstad originated in 1891 in the valley of the Makwasi River, which takes its name from the many wild spearmint bushes that grow along its banks. The town is known for the alluvial diamond-mining and maize-farming in the area. It is situated on the main route between Klerksdorp and Kimberley, making it the ideal stopover for guests. We are located 500m outside Wolmaransstad on the N12 from Klerksdorp, on the left hand side. GPS Co-ordinates: 27° 11' 53.45", +25° 59' 18.61"

From the wide selection on the menu, food are freshly prepared from recipes perfected by Die Geel Huis. Friendly staff will see to it that you are satisfied with the quality and quantity of the chef’s servings.
Attractions:For the Nature Lovers, a variety of recreation options exist, such as the Makwassierante Conservation Area, Wolwespruit Dam Nature Reserve. For those who love fishing, there is the Yellow fish angling sites along the Vaal River banks. The Digger’s Diamond Tour is an opportunity to learn about the beginning of alluvial diamond digging in the area up to the selling of diamonds. Wolmaransstad still has beautiful sand stone buildings which erected during the early years of the previous millennium, such as the Broadbent Mission Station and the Thomas Leask House.

Oh man.. the food was awesome, the staff was so amazing and helpful. I had booked three nights and I must say; I had a good stay with my wife and kids. Keep up the good work - from me, you come highly recommend.
The food was great and didn't take long to arrive. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The environment was cozy.
Very professional service, spacious rooms with air conditioner, dstv quiet and invites you to do some admin in your room, lastly a walking distance to town.
