Verlorenkloof Lodge houses the reception, Foodspace Deli and Coffee shop, library and a small gallery and gift shop.

Our main lodge area, coffee shop and deli ensure we are well equipped with catering options, from self-catering, full board catering and food services to pre-prepared meals and groceries.

FOODSPACE offers farm-sourced fresh farm milk, yoghurt and Labneh (a soft yoghurt cheese), tea, coffee, freshly baked bread, farm eggs, a wonderful selection of condiments, both sweet and savoury, rusks, cookies, trout products and take away frozen meals.

The FOODSPACE Coffee Shop offers a small seasonal menu with delectable cakes, light lunches and breakfasts.

Situated in a beautifully secluded valley along the eastern escarpment of the Mpumalanga province, the Crocodile River forms a natural border to the Estate. Here each of the crofts have been uniquely sited to make the most of the natural environment and incredible views, all of them surrounded by striking mountains. The crofts have been designed to give you that homey farm-house feel with a very spacious layout for the kids to play and the family to feel comfortable in.

In Room Facilities:

Each croft has a fully equipped kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is also a dishwasher fridge and freezer. The open plan lounge has wonderful couches and enough seating with a big dining room table. The veranda has its own outdoor furniture with a beautiful outdoor braai area and a weber in case it rains. Most of the bedrooms are en-suite with either a bath and shower or both.

Area Information:

Lydenburg is a town abuzz with new developments and the atmosphere is charged with excitement and interest. Lydenburg is situated at the foothills of the famous Long Tom Pass and surrounded by the Steenkampsberg and Mauchsberg mountain ranges.

Property Facilities:

The Estate has a main lodge which houses the reception area for check-in. There is also a wonderful coffee shop at the lodge for meals during the day and croft food that can be ordered for take home dinners. A small shop is available if you need freshly baked bread, eggs, fresh milk from the farm, yogurt made from the farm milk and jams. There is a TV room for that very important sporting event and laundry facilities if you would need. The lodge is open from 08:30 - 16:30 daily.
