Classic and peaceful.
Very conveniently situated in the heart of town, a stones throw from historic Church St. A pleasant establishment with comfortable rooms and a welcoming host. We only stayed the one night there, but found it a very relaxed place all round.
It was wonderful! Great people, warm welcoming. Peter has golden Irish heart and Carol is the sweetest host! She is a super cook and will do everything to make your stay super!
Location close to Church St and local restaurants. Also the helpful manageress (Carol) who provided us with local info and the owner who took us on vineyard walks and one of his secret sun downer spots!
Old fashion charm; beautiful maintained from the 70's! The blue room was spacious, fresh, great bed. Lounge relaxing, great escape from the cities noise.
Superb hospitality.
Fantastic. PJ and Carol are so welcoming and friendly. The accommodation us excellent. Go to Tulbagh for a relaxing friendly break and stay at Wittedrift Manor to 'put the icing on the cake'
Super friendly and helpful owner and staff. PJ and Carol made us feel very welcome and were happy to check us in after hours without prior reservation. PJ also arranged a lovely hike for my wife and I the following day and helped us plan our itinerary during our stay in Tulbagh.
Relaxing feeling of home.

Tulbagh Reviews
Our second visit and certainly not the last. So much to do and see!
Scenery
Wine, scenery, sunset
Beautiful, historic and quaint little town. Stroll down church street and have a roosterkoek at Kole & Deeg. Highly recommend the Gin Yard at Vindoux wine farm. The Spar gets ridiculously busy on long weekends so rather come prepared unless you want to stand in line for 30 mins. The Tulbagh Nursery is awesome if you’re into gardening and plants. And take the Bain’s Kloof pass if you want a beautiful scenic route!
The quaint town, the beautiful scenery, the olive tasting.
Everything!
Wine, the history side.
We found Tulbagh to be close enough to Cape Town for a quick weekend away with family & friends.
Clean town with stunning wine farms, wine tasting and lovely restaurants.
Very picturesque with great hiking, mountain biking trails.
Lots of convenient shops in the town.
Can't wait for our next visit.
We loved our Sunday lunch at Tulbagh Hotel and Champagne tasting at Krone.
We went to Essere lodge for a weekend and loved it! Have done many wine tastings at the surrounding farms, love going there often.
