an absolute dream location, lovely friendly staff, calm, tranquil times, views from beyond. A 10/10 will definitely be back!
From the moment of arrival, the tranquillity and beauty was inspiring. The accommodation and service was great. I wish I could have stayed longer in this delightful place.
The scenery beautiful. The staff friendly and helpful. Loved the snug rondawel. Road was not to bad to navigate. The resident dogs very accommodating. No internet but that's why we went. Plenty to do and see on farm as well with the surrounding areas.
Old Mill Drift Mountain Farm isn't your normal resort, with swimming pools loudness e.g.
At Old Mill Drift Mountain Farm you have peace of mind. My partner and I went there for 5 day and only on the second day that we started to adept to the silence. (Which we wanted)
If you love mountains on mountains this is the place. (You will feel like Heidi)
Believe me i write a book about the this you can do as a couple. You and your partner will reconnect after two days at this wonderful place. i will highly recommended shelter 5 for a couple.
There is one down point, the signal isn't that great but that'S for the best.
Thank you Yvonne for everything will see you soon.
If you want to switch off the hassles of everyday life and tune into nature, this is the place to go. Rustic, relaxing and restful. The night skies are phenomenal, the sunrise burning off the winter frost so beautiful. Friendly resident dogs make it feel like home while the visiting ponies put you straight on the farm.

Clarens Reviews
Love the mountains for a nice hike.
A variety of restaurants and shops to explore.
We love exploring Golden Gate, wondering through the shops in the Town and visiting our favourite Clarens Brewery. We enjoy supporting the smaller farm restaurants in the area. Highland Brew was a lovely new addition to this trip.
Variety
Main roads to town are recommended for daylight use only. Small town atmosphere but with a wide variety of activities and stores. The annual Titanic Challenge Trail Run was my main attraction - stunning views!
Everything....food, quality of shops...felt safe...clean...friendly people....
Love all the shops and restaurants there is. Surrounded by mountains. Perfect breakaway for winter or summer.
Picturesque . lot of outdoor sport. restaurants .
Tranquil, beautiful little gem in the Free State
Village atmosphere & the beautiful mountains
Small, quaint, but very lively little town with spectacular views all around. Hiking is a must and can be done on the edge of town. We stayed at Views and the hiking trail was on our back door. Beautiful, beautiful little town offering great food, culture, entertainment and beautiful hiking trails.
