Jane was very accepting and accommodating at short notice.
Jane went out of her way to contact us, as there was a concern about water supply to town. As usual the breakfast at The Courtyard was outstanding. Bedrooms were cleaned beautifully. I would recommend a stay at The Courtyard to all our friends.
We stayed overnight in the 2 bed cottage. It was very nice. We had to leave early and asked for a packed breakfast, and boy did we get one! A wonderful selection of baked goods, ham and cheese, juice, fruit. It was fantastic.
Thank you for a lovely stay. The guesthouse was lovely & neat & clean. Staff incredibly helpful.
Made to feel totally at home. The restaurant attached to guesthouse, incredible food & the divine smells of baked goods first thing in the morning was heaven.
Had a great stay & hope to be back soon

Clarens Reviews
Love the mountains for a nice hike.
A variety of restaurants and shops to explore.
We love exploring Golden Gate, wondering through the shops in the Town and visiting our favourite Clarens Brewery. We enjoy supporting the smaller farm restaurants in the area. Highland Brew was a lovely new addition to this trip.
Variety
Main roads to town are recommended for daylight use only. Small town atmosphere but with a wide variety of activities and stores. The annual Titanic Challenge Trail Run was my main attraction - stunning views!
Everything....food, quality of shops...felt safe...clean...friendly people....
Love all the shops and restaurants there is. Surrounded by mountains. Perfect breakaway for winter or summer.
Picturesque . lot of outdoor sport. restaurants .
Tranquil, beautiful little gem in the Free State
Village atmosphere & the beautiful mountains
Small, quaint, but very lively little town with spectacular views all around. Hiking is a must and can be done on the edge of town. We stayed at Views and the hiking trail was on our back door. Beautiful, beautiful little town offering great food, culture, entertainment and beautiful hiking trails.
