Excellent weekend in a tranquil environment overlooking the sea. Small enough for rest and within reach of amenities if so desired.

What a majestic place

Wir waren eine der ersten Gäste nach der Wiedereröffnung und sehr froh, dass die Eigentümer Florbella und Didier ganze Arbeit geleistet haben. Beide sind sehr herzlich und um das Wohl der Gäste sehr bemüht.
Die Zebra Lodge ist ein wirklich schönes Domizil, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und mit allem Komfort ausgestattet.
Wir bewohnten ein kolonial Safarizelt und fühlten uns sofort zuhause.
Von der Terrasse aus, hat man einen tollen Blick in die Ferne.
Das Zelt verfügt über ein sehr bequemes breites Bett, eine Badewanne mit Aussicht und eine Außendusche.
Vom Abendessen waren wir begeistert (unbedingt mitbestellen), toll angerichtet und ausgesprochen delikat, auch die Weinempfehlung war nach unserem Geschmack.
Es ist zu merken, dass Florbella und Didier gern Gäste haben.
Am Abend ist stets Zeit für ein Glas Wein und ein Gespräch am Kamin.
Wir haben vieles erfahren über die Gegend und das Leben in SA.
Der Name der Lodge ist natürlich Programm, am Nachmittag hatten wir Glück und die Zebras kamen an die Terrasse.
Ein wirklich schöner Moment, so auf Tuchfühlung mit diesen hübschen Tieren.

Unfortunately we only stayed for one evening, however, the property is exceptional and the owners both made us very welcome and provided a level of service that you would expect from a high standard of hotel.
The setting is spectacular and the furnishings very tasteful.
We would highly recommend this property to all ages and families.

Owners Florbela and Didier have built a fantastic lodge!
I am not easily impressed and yet it not my starting point to be impressed.
I just like good service and a lovely room, that works!
However, if you like the more quieter side of life then escape fro PE and stay a couple of nights. Lots to do and moutain biking is available with many routs and grades.
The tents have the best view!
Beautiful outside showers, with nice view and the water pressure is fantastic.
Gas geysers but you would never know!
Tents are spacious. If you can handle the flapping of the canvas you will sleep like a baby!
There are other rooms and from my inspection they are very good!

The JBay Zebra Lodge was a great stay. I stayed with my brother and parents for one night while traveling along the coast. A great view of the ocean can be seen from the property. There is a very nice little pool and a covered hot tub nearby. The room we stayed in was amazing, with murals on the walls and nice and updated furniture. As we were sitting out on the deck the main attraction arrived. A group of zebras begin to walk past the rooms and pool. They didn't even seem to notice we were there. It made for a beautiful sight; zebra foreground with a distant ocean on the horizon.

Myself and my (new!) wife adored Jbay Zebra Lodge when we stayed in Jan 2017. Flobella and Didier were flawless, warm hosts - Florbella even reserved the hot tub for just ourselves with free champagne without us asking! Her cooking was also absolutely magnificent - classic French with fresh local South African ingredients!

We stayed in JBay as a brief stopover before moving on as part of a longer trip, and in 3 weeks staying in South Africa we didn't stay anywhere better.

Stayed 2 x nights in Earth Suite.
The weather was still a little cool after the poor Easter weekend in the Eastern Cape and the Gas heater in the room and the electric blankets were most welcome at times.
Lovely large room with all the extras you could wish for - safe, gowns/slippers, TV with all super sports and fridge. Very comfortable large bed/pillows.
Ate both nights in the dining room and the 3 x course dinners were excellent. Lovely setting and food.
The Zebras were around most of the time which allowed for some good photographs.
Very attentive and thoughtful hosts and another very memorable stay.
