Situated in the up-market Bishopscourt, Canterbury House offers luxurious guesthouse accommodation in surrounds of unrivalled beauty. Scenic Bishopscourt is centrally located and is one of the Cape's most beautiful areas with the forest backdrop and abundance of plant and birdlife. Canterbury House boasts first class amenities such as the sparkling swimming pool, tennis courts, sitting room with snooker table and fireplace, pub and patio.
Guests have the choice of four bed and breakfast accommodation options, namely the Garden Room, the Tree Room, the Canterbury Room and the Protea Room. The Garden Room is a spacious en-suite twin/double room with a patio that adjoins the pool. It has been specifically designed for wheelchair access. The Tree Room is an en-suite double room in a treetop setting with a balcony. The Protea Room is an en-suite room that overlooks the tennis court. The Canterbury Room offers self-catering accommodation in a twin /double unit. It has a lounge and fully equipped kitchenette. All rooms have satellite TV, complimentary tea/coffee tray, fridge and under floor heating. Facilities provided include tourist information, recommendations, reservations and meeting facilities. A laundry service, fax facility and airport transfers are available at your request.
The Cape Peninsula has a wealth of natural and historical attractions such as the Table Mountain cableway, Robben Island (where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated for 27 years), V&A Waterfront, the Durbanville and Constantia Wine Routes to name but a few. The region boasts superb shopping centres, entertainment venues, nightclubs, theatres, restaurants and bars. Take a day trip to the world renowned Stellenbosch and Paarl, with their fine restaurants and wine routes or try the historical Tulbagh, famous for its Cape Dutch architecture and excellent restaurants.
