At 4 Umzumbe is a stunning upmarket apartment located in the quieter area of Banana Beach close to Port Shepstone on the South Coast of KwaZulu Natal which appeals to the discerning traveller. Step out onto the covered patio and enjoy 180-degree vista views of the warm Indian Ocean and rolling, green hills of sugar cane. Experience a true Natal South Coast beach break with the smells of salty sea and lush coastal vegetation.
The unit is located on the first floor and comprises 3 bedrooms. The apartment is tastefully decorated in relaxing coastal themes. The main bedroom has a queen size bed with an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. The second bedroom also has a queen size bed and the third bedroom has 2 single beds. The second bathroom has a bath, toilet and basin. Each bedroom boasts a sea view and white, percale hotel quality linen and plush comfy beds. There are air-conditioners throughout the unit for those warm summer days.
The open-plan kitchen with granite tops is equipped with everything guests will need for a self-catering stay, including a fridge, freezer, stove and oven, a microwave, coffee- and tea-making facilities, crockery and cutlery. A dishwasher is also supplied for guests' convenience.
The lounge holds comfortable seating as well as a FHD TV with a full Premium DStv bouquet and a DVD-player. The living room walks out through folding stack doors onto the covered patio with furniture, braai facilities and breathtaking views.
The Mangrove Beach Estate offers full-time security, a communal swimming pool, braai facilities, a gymnasium, games room and laundry facilities. The pristine Banana Beach is a short 120m picturesque walk through an adjoining resort.
At 4 Umzumbe is a convenient base from which to visit the KZN South Coast with numerous places of interest in close proximity as well as super restaurants. Enjoy fishing from our well-known Banana Beach or let the little ones explore the many rock pools which have tiny fish all year round. The tidal pool is also an absolute hit with young and old and safe to swim in during high tide. Our beach has lifesavers during weekends and holidays. Surrounded by holiday resorts, At 4 Umzumbe has an ever present "holiday vibe" which keeps guests coming back for more.

This is the most beautiful holiday apartment I have ever stayed in and I have travelled a lot, photos don't do the apartment any justice, the place is absolutely gorgeous, the sea view on the balcony is absolutely out of this world, everything inside is as promised. For me Lucinda was our super host together with Charmaine the caretaker - our weekend was just too beautiful and both these ladies made our stay the most comfortable and enjoyable ever ,,,, we will definitely come back soon for a longer stay.
This apartment is beautiful and has gorgeous sea views. Lovely decor and kitchen equipped with everything you need. We loved the games room & swimming pool. Close to shops and beach is great. Spent lots of time snorkeling in the tidal pool. The family loved the Free WiFi. Highly recommended. Will be back.
At 4 Umzumbe is a stunning home away from home. It has everything you need for a relaxing beach break. Extremely family friendly, even for little ones. The games room and free wifi keeps the teenagers busy for hours and Banana Beach is gorgeous. The apartment is equipped with everything you need for a memorable holiday. Aircons and comfy beds ensures a comfy stay. Will definitely come back! Hosts are great and very informative.

We loved our stay at 4 Umzumbe Beach Apartment, Mangrove Beach Estate! Lucinda really goes out of her way to ensure her guests are comfortable. The apartment is absolutely lovely, clean, everything you need, beautiful décor and amazing views,(we were so lucky to see whales and dolphins!)
The estate is Safe and secure and just a short walk to the beach. We loved the games room and pool area too. Honestly, we did not want to leave and just cant wait to book again and again!! Thank you Lucinda for a very memorable stay! Just what we needed!

Great apartment, Neat, quiet. I definitely got value for my money.
Our stay was really lovely, the accommodation was clean and comfortable, all kitchen utensils were available so it was like being in my own kitchen.
The view was spectacular from the balcony and all shops were near to the Apartment so we didn’t have to have a day’s driving just for necessities.
