Clementine Cottage is a beautiful self-catering cottage situated on a working fruit farm amongst orchards and vineyards in Franschhoek. Magnificent views and a peaceful atmosphere with total privacy are offered. The area lies in a picturesque fertile valley deep in the Cape Winelands, and is known as the gourmet capital of South Africa. It has well over 25 restaurants and boasts 8 of South Africa's top 100 restaurants. One can also tour and enjoy many the valleys fine wines on the local estates. The village also has a host of jewellers, art shops, galleries and specialist stores.
Both the Stellenbosch and Paarl Wine routes are within a 25-minute drive and whale watching can be done from the cliffs in Hermanus, which is approximately an hour and a half away. For the more adventurous you can enjoy paragliding, horse riding, mountain biking, hiking, fly-fishing, as well as golf on a number of nearby courses.
This tranquil retreat sleeps 2-4. It has two tastefully furnished double bedrooms each with luxurious en suite bathroom and dressing room, as well as a spacious living area with a fully equipped kitchen.

Clementine Cottage is beautifully situated on a farm about 3km outside Franschhoek,nestling close under the mountains. Its the only cottage on the farm so is peaceful and private, spacious and well equipped, and had everything we wanted and more, we will definitely try to stay there again!

The Wine Train for sure
So many wonderful places to eat including lovely outdoor courtyards with live music; lovely bespoke shops plus some necessities like Clicks; incredible world-class wine estates with wine tasting & pairing experiences and the wine tram; lovely accommodation well-tiered; safe to walk around. For an outstanding experience and meal I would recommend La Petite Colombe on Leeu estates.
