Picnic Rock Seaside Accommodation is situated neatly on the edge beach overlooking the ocean in the sleepy little suburb of Keurboomstrand, just outside of Plettenberg Bay.

There are three units available, all rented on a self-catering basis, and all directly on the beach front.

Nor’ East and Sou’ West both have two bedrooms, and two bathrooms (one of which is en-suite). The units sleep a maximum of 5 guests by use of a sleeper couch in the lounge. The kitchen area is fully equipped for self-catering with a dishwasher, coffee machine, gas stove and oven.

Due South has one bedroom with en-suite bathroom and boasts a little balcony off the bedroom, separate from the patio area that leads of the lounge. The unit is fully equipped for self-catering offering a gas hob, convection over, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine and washing machine.

The units all have an outside patio area with both gas and open fire braai facilities that provide breath-taking views of the sea.

Our units are rented for a 2-night minimum stay throughout the year.
This changes to 5 nights during the Peak Season.

No pets allowed.

Nor’ East and Sou’ West each sleep a maximum of 5 guests by use of a sleeper couch in the lounge.

Due South sleeps a maximum of 2 guests and is accessed by a small staircase.

The kitchens in Nor’ East and Sou’ West have gas stoves with ovens, a microwave, dishwasher and coffee machine.

The kitchen in Due South does not offer an oven, but does offer a washing machine.

Open plan living areas are light and airy, with a sleeper couch, dining table and TV offering DStv access. WiFi is available as a complimentary service.

The units have gas braai (barbecue) facilities, a flat screen TV, bedding and bath towels.
Please note that beach towels are not provided.

There is direct access to the beach from the patio areas of the units, and alongside the unit for Due South.

Units are rented for a 2-night minimum stay. This changes to 5 nights during Peak Season.

The village of Keurboomstrand is a perfect little haven, with no shops and only one restaurant available. It is advised to make sure you have purchased your groceries and brought your self-catering supplies with you prior to your arrival as there are no stores in the village.

Recently awarded a Blue Flag beach, Keurboomstrand is the ideal location to escape the hustle and bustle of every day life and get back to nature. The town of Plettenberg Bay is only 10min drive away and is home to amazing beaches, nature parks and sanctuaries. It is here where you will find the Robberg Reserve, Polo fields, the Keurbooms River with its very own Island.

The river is ideal for skiing, fishing, canoeing, boat cruises, and that is but the tip of the iceberg.

The bustling former foresters town of Knysna, voted South Africa's favorite town in 2004, is a mere 30 minutes away and is home to the world famous Knysna Lagoon, Knysna Heads and the much loved Knysna oyster.

WiFi is available in the units.
Each unit is equipped with a small invertor to allow for the television to work during load shedding, and the WiFi is also available during load shedding. Rechargeable lights are also installed to provide light during power outages.
A laundry service is available at an additional charge and chalets can be serviced on request with prior arrangement (subject to availability - no third party cleaners permitted).

There is a lot to do within 15 minutes drive from Picnic Rock Seaside Accommodation. If you drive towards Port Elizabeth on the N2 you will get to the Crags.

There you can visit Birds of Eden reputed to be the biggest free flight bird sanctuary in the world. Right next door is Monkeyland which is the world's first free roaming multi-specie primate sanctuary.

Moss and Maple and well as Bread and Brew, just off the N2, offer a fabulous location for a bite to eat and an amazing play area for children.

There is also an Elephant Sanctuary on the Crags where you can walk with the elephants or even ride them. The Crags also has a Snake Sanctuary and the newly opened Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness Centre where a variety of animals. If you are into Bungi Jumping try the Bloukrans Bridge experience. This is reputed to be one of the highest in the world.

About 15 minutes drive from Picnic Rock into the Prince Albert Pass there are three game farms. Rhino Base Camp is the biggest game reserve in the Southern Cape and is home to Africa's Big 4 (rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard).

An absolute MUST is a visit to the Thyme & Again Farm stall, just off the N2 (opposite from our turn-off), where you will find tasty homemade treats, a lovely little restaurant and play area for children. Or just a little further up the road there is the lovely Moss & Maple farm stall offering a large play area, shop and weekly market.

Other attractions nearby include the Crags / Redford Lane wine route, Plett Puzzle Park, various animal sanctuaries and many fine dining experiences.
