Cannon House, offers wonderful SEA FACING accommodation above the quaint Victorian village of Simon’s Town overlooking the harbour, False Bay and surrounding mountains.
ACCOMMODATION
Cannon House offers bright, spacious and very well appointed sea facing, en -suite accommodation with own separate guest entrance, TV, tea / coffee facilities, mini-fridge and microwave, hair dryer and should there be anything else you might require to make your stay more comfortable, you need only ask!
Breakfast is available at an additional fee.
LOCATION
We are ideally situated within close proximity of several lovely safe bathing beaches and coves and the famous, unique land based African Penguin Colony at Boulders. Cape Town’s major tourist attractions are easily accessible from here, i.e. Table Mountain, the exquisite Chapman’s Peak Drive, the world famous heritage sites of Cape Point Nature Reserve and Kirstenbosch Gardens, the buzzy Cape Town Waterfront and the magnificent Cape Wine Routes.
ACTIVITIES AND ATTRACTIONS
Meandering around Simon’s Town is a relaxed, fascinating and interesting experience with its small intimate museums, delightful and different curio and antique shops and the charming Simon’s Town Waterfront where there are daily harbour cruises and a most enjoyable Water Taxi service to neighbouring Kalk Bay.
Useful tips on Simon’s Town, what to do, where to eat, etc and info on Cape Town and the Western Cape in general is readily available at Cannon House. Tours and transport to and from the airport or to Cape Town Station can be arranged on request.
Activities in the area include scuba diving and diving, whale tours (in season), Seal Island trips, shark cage diving, surfing and windsurfing, golf, hiking, pelagic birding trips, walk with the baboons, and sea kayaking.
Reasonable rates and a warm welcome at Cannon House ensure a memorable stay in this lovely spot on the Cape Peninsula.

Reviews
The place is peaceful and serene with beautiful views. We took the morning to just enjoy the views and relax. Then we went to Table Mountain National Park and Boulders to see the penguins. There are many more places and restaurants just a stone throw away.
We spent our wedding anniversary here and the host Barbara is such a blessing. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who just wants to rejuvenate. We already planning our next visit.
Magnificent, peaceful, excellent views the place was perfect, beds were fantastic, showers hot. Lovely outside area to have meals and watch the sea and Simon's Town harbour.
Barbara was a truly amazing hostess. Our room was clean, beautiful and well equipped. We could not have asked for a better stay or more accommodating hostess. Highly recommend Cannon House to anyone.

We had the best getaway ever. The host Barbara is really the most pleasant person and she made us feel completely at home. The tranquil atmosphere and being around the ocean was so relaxing. We paid a visit to Boulders Beach and the new shopping centre Harbour Bay.
A fantastic view across Simon‘s Bay with the naval and yacht harbours right in front of the balcony room. Comfortable accommodation with breakfast provided to order, included in the price. The terraced building is not suitable for physically challenged guests due to having to climb stairs. The owners are very hospitable and accommodating.
Barbara tall beautiful lady, forever smiling, beautiful place, private entrance to your room. Enjoyable breakfast served with love. Thanks Simons Town is not SImons Town if you haven't slept at Canon house.

The buzz and quaintness.
The quaintness, cleanliness and lovely places to walk around.
It really is a must see town, there is a scratch patch with the most beautiful stones. Boulders beach is a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy the penguins and plenty of shops to browse, plus a very nice yacht club with plenty of spots to choose from to grab something to eat.
Everything is central.
The quiet tranquility :-)
The town itself is amazing, historical and quaint. The view of the bay and the beach were breathtaking.
