Welcome to Kingfisher Cottages,
The off-the-grid farm is located 26 km (14 km of gravel road) from Montagu, tucked away in the mountains and offers guests a wide range of activities including fishing, swimming, and mountain trails.
Giant (wheelchair friendly), Brown-hooded and Pied Cottages are newly built eco-friendly cottages build using natural building materials and techniques and are located about 1km down the valley from the main farm. These three are unfortunately not pet-friendly.
Malachite Cottage (pet-friendly) is a charming two-sleeper stone cottage adjacent to the main farm house with its own private enclosed garden.

Kingfisher's solitude and remoteness is lovely. The chalets are beautifully maintained and comfortable.
Indeed the perfect getaway from the city's hustle & bustle. The scenery of the rolling hills of fauna & flora including the vineyards is surely a spectacular sight. The star gazing after sunset was totally awesome. We thoroughly enjoyed the classy & well equipped eco cottage. Our weekend stay at best was way too short. Thank you Vivianne & Marco for your hospitality. PS The trout pate is delicious.
Our recent weekend getaway at the Giant Kingfisher Cottage at Two Dam Sustainable was an absolute pleasure from the moment we arrived until we left. Marco and Vivian are the perfect hosts, making us feel welcome and almost part of the family. On this farm. the meaning of sustainability is truly implemented and authentic on every level ! This extends from the cob built cottages, solar generated electricity, composting toilet to the refreshing eco-pool.To top it all, the cottages are meticulously and tastefully furnished, leaving absolutely nothing to be desired.One can feel the love and passion that went into every detail !
We highly recommend a stay at Two Dam Sustainable Eco Cottages for a truly relaxing break from the stresses of daily life ! ! We loved every minute of our unforgettable stay ! This is a perfect getaway with family or friends !
Such an awesome place, totally of grid. Highly recommended if you need a break from the busy life. Nice and quiet, with tortoises and rabbits on your doorstep. And the highlight is a visit to the Eco pool, way better than any spa treatment you might have had. Thanx to the our friendly hosts. We will definitely come and visit you again.

Came up to Montagu for a climbing course with Blue Mountain Adventures and stayed at the Tolhuis with two friends. It was just perfect. Firstly the location, it was only mere meters away from our first day's location for climbing , LEGOLAND. We could literally stop and walk up to our accommodation for a coffee and lunch break! The place itself was just perfect for the 3 of us. Great little braai area where we enjoyed our evenings and the place is simple and humble yet stylish! The hosts, Michelle, Ivan, and Jason their 6-month-old puppy were just very warm and accommodating. Thank you!
