Our self-catering accommodation consists of two quaintly decorated farm cottages in tranquil surroundings overlooking spectacular views of the picturesque fruit orchards and vineyards that decorate the canvas of our unique Elgin Valley. Located in the heart of the Elgin wine route and close to all major MTB and hiking trails.

Area Information:The Elgin Valley has much to offer for all ages from outdoor activities like hiking through the natural fynbos vegetation to adventurous Ziplining through the mountains. It is the home of many sought after mountain biking trails as well as trail running events.
Property Facilities:Within walking distance from the cottages is The Cheverells Farm Shed, a country café and gift dhop open from Wednesday to Sunday for breakfast and lunch.

We loved our stay here. Beautiful spot, cozy accommodation filled with special touches. The rusks and coffee are out of this world and very generous with firewood! Loved the eco-friendly touches too. The Shed is conveniently situated for a delicious meal or treat. Idyllic, will visit again!

Checking in was very easy, and there was a loaf of fresh farm bread and a bottle of local wine waiting for us!

Location good. Great view and very peaceful. Welcomed with a bowl of fresh farm apples and freshly baked bread, homemade jam and butter.

Best self catering EVER! Nothing is missing or short. Its more than we expected. The setting is also awesome.
Everything. From the amazing scenery to the thoughtful small touches like olive oil and great coffee. Could not ask for anything more from the place. The bonus of being able to fish for bass in the lower dam was the cherry on top for me. Will be back repeatedly when staying in the area. Truly excellent.
Gorgeous view. Tranquil and instantly relaxing. I could have spend days there just staring out at the view and watching the birds. The cottage is beautifully appointed considering its compact size. Sadly we didn't meet Cath but she was still warm and welcoming and communicative. The fresh bread, jam and wine of course were delightful touches. Hope to come back - the Elgin area is also utterly enchanting.

Elgin is great and filled with lots of places to visit. I would recommend popping in at the railway market and Charles Fox (it’s a bit of a distance but the champers is with it)

Close enough to get there quick and far enough to escape the 'citylife' and experience forests, home made bakes and beautiful farms...
Great weather and a great Railway market.
Not much to do. It's more so suited for people who want to unwind.
