The northern section of the wagon house (built in 1863) has been converted into the stylish Blaauwater Farm - Garden Unit 49km outside Graaff - Reinet, where peace and tranquility of the Karoo, magnificent views of the mountains and myriads of stars at night can be experienced.
The self contained unit has its own bathroom en-suite with shower and a bath. A small kitchennete and dining table make this the perfect self-catering getaway.
The room sleeps 2-3 adults and can accommodate 1 child (under 12) on a sleeper couch.
A small stoep with tables and chairs looks out over the lambing enclosure. Guests are welcome to braai/bbq. A contintental breakfast is available on request - please ensure you request this at the time of your booking.
The nearby mountains are ideal for hiking. The Mountain Zebra National Park is located 93.8 km away on the R61 to Cradock and the Camdeboo National Park. Visit the well-known Valley of Desolation which is 72 km away on the N9 highway. Nieu-Bethesda is well-known for the Owl House.

Such a wonderful place, steeped in historical and natural interest. Museums, National Park and nearby Owl House.
Picturesque town, Reinet House Museum is a great stop, dinner at Pioneers, Nieu Bethesda to see the Owl House is worth the drive.
