Brides Veil Chalet is a self-catering double-storey house, that is located on a private farm situated in the southern Drakensberg range, in KwaZulu-Natal. Ideal for a family looking for tranquility and comfortable lodging, away from city life.
The house is spacious and comprises 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and is fully furnished for comfort. The main bedroom is located on the ground floor and is equipped with a queen-size bed and en suite barthroom with shower, basin and toilet. In the loft there are 4 single beds and another queen-size bed. The bathroom downstairs has a bath, basin and toilet. The kitchen area has basic necessities such as a gas stove with an oven and a fridge with small freezer compartment.
The lounge has comfortable seating and a fireplace, and guests are welcome to make use of the outdoor braai facilities as well. All lights in the house are powered by batteries, and candles are supplied for additional lighting. Hot water is heated with gas as well. Brides Veil Chalet is pet-friendly, and guests are welcome to explore the property by taking leisure walks.
Guests are also encouraged to bring their own facilities to enjoy the hiking, cycling and 4x4 trails on the farm. There is also a stream a short walk from the house, where one can have a picnic. Brides Veil Chalet is about 45 kilometers from the nearest shops and facilities within Underberg.
There are no cell coms.
SANI PASS, YOU WILL NEED A PASSPORT, AND A 4x4 BAKKIE, YOU CAN ALSO BOOK WITH LOCAL TOUR OPPERATORS IN UNDERBERG.
SNOW IN WINTER IS NOT UNCOMMON.

Exquisite scenery - very tranquil..
Scenery is beautiful. Well worth a visit for anyone looking for peace and quiet. Lots of amazing hikes and outdoor activities. Road up to Sani Pass is not recommended. Only 4x4. Meal at the restaurant was very disappointing. But views from the top worth the effort!
