Family owned and run by Grant and Silvia Viljoen and their two young sons, its expansive grounds ensure each of the seven self-catering cottage is secluded yet beautifully blended into its natural landscape of towering oak trees, scampering squirrel and glorious bird life.
Each cottage offers complete privacy together with modern amenities and a host of additional services to ensure your stay is tailored to your personal comfort.
From its pivotal positioning on the slopes of the Constantiaberg mountains, guests enjoy easy access to surrounding nature trails, local eateries, wine farms, bustling Hout Bay harbour, Camp’s Bay beaches and Cape Town’s central business district and Cape Town’s international airport.

The rooms are nice and big. Very clean. There is no telephone reception. Only wifi from the hosts. There is no TV, so be prepared if you love to chill at night watching some Netflix. The wifi only came on after 8 in the morning.

A stunning, spacious and beautifully furnished place to stay in a tranquil environment right in nature. The bed is a dream and everything about the Lavender Cottage was absolutely amazing. Wonderful hosts. I would highly recommend staying at Waterland.
Warm welcome on arrival, received a tour around the premises and made sure that we were okay and settled. Extremely neat and clean, well maintained. Absolutely stunning place and beautiful views, my boys really enjoyed their time there and will certainly be back. The play area for the kids is really top notch and safe!

Spent the night at Waterland and wished we had booked longer! Beautiful cottages, very neat and well maintained. Absolutely relaxed atmosphere where you are surrounded by lush green gardens. Had a wonderful stay!

The only thing that they can improve the lodge with is the TV.

Beautiful place
Vibrant night life. Big variety of restaurants and food. Clean beaches and market has a big variety of items. Great way te spend a summers day. Packing is limited though so getting there early is key.
