Reviews
Outstanding. Lovely stay and excellent meal with a really comprehensive selection of good wines. Sadly were only there one night but would definitely stay for longer next time.
Breathtaking staying on a cliff.
The best place to stay in Hogsback!
We fell in love with Max the Great Dane…
The food was incredible and the view even more so!
Our dogs loved it too!
Thank you.
Beautiful scenery, so peaceful, our accommodation was clean and tidy. The staff is friendly and the food at the restaurant is excellent.
We loved our stay. The location of Edge Mountain Retreat is beautiful. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Their restaurant is the only place I found that had a various options for vegans.
Rooms could possible do with some updating but our room had everything the we needed.
Friendly service
Amazing views
Superb restaurant
Definite recommend 👌🏼
We were most impressed with the Edge. The five star service the friendly staff. A great weekend to recharge .
We stayed in Daedelus' Shelter for three nights (with two small dogs). The welcome, accommodation, facilities and, of course, the surrounds of Hogsback were fantastic.
We had a lovely time during our short stay at the Chestnut cottage at The Edge. We arrived late afternoon and stayed overnight so that we could explore Hogsback during the following day. The chalet was cosy and neat. The rooms are warm and the fireplace and heaters in each room make a big difference. There is no TV to entertain the kids but luckily i brought a laptop with Netflix. Kids enjoyed exploring the garden the next morning.
Pity it was too late for snowy weather
Beautiful location with great views and a very well kept property. Amazingly peaceful and excellent food at the restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to others.

Hogsback Reviews
The serenity, cleanliness, friendly people and just the overall beauty of nature in Hogsback.
Lots of lovely hikes in calm and quiet place. Just beware of the amount and severity of the potholes throughout the town, even in an SUV you are most certainly going to feel them and you certainly can't avoid them all. Go for the quiet and the beauty of the forests.
Everything. It is our favourite holiday destination.
Everything. I love the place.
Beautiful scenery, so relaxing, great walks, plenty to do, birdwatching, delicious pancakes and toasted sandwiches, slow pace of life and the smallest ParkRun EVER!
Beautiful town with stunning places to visit! Will be back for sure!
