The lodge and the people there are really nice. They did all to make it for us a memorable stay. The chalet rooms are all really comfortable and nice.
Lovely secluded place. The dirt road to the lodge is rough on a standard sedan...particularly if there is rain.
We had a great stay at Nibela Lodge - everything was satisfactory. The staff were amazing and even baked me a cake for my 60th birthday on the last night of our stay - that was really very touching and much appreciated.
On the night of the braai at the boma, the food was a bit disappointing as there was only pap & sauce and 1 salad I think. My guests who were with me do not eat pap & sauce so there wasn't much other choice for them - I would suggest there be a few more salads available.
Otherwise I can say that it is a lovely spot especially for birders like ourselves but if you are not a birder it is a bit far out with not much to do. Just my opinion.
As far as the birding is concerned, Lucky our guide, was outstanding and can be well recommended.
