Thank you!!, a warm welcome and all was ready admin side. The chalet was charming, clean and private. My parents who are elderly felt safe and had easy access. The animals that visited made their day.
It was marvellous.
A unique experience. Excellent view of the river from treehouse. Rooms are comfortable and we loved that there were two bathrooms. Staff at reception were very friendly! The hiking trails are awesome. Thank you very much!!
Marlon River Lodge is a wonderful place . They made sure our stay there was nice. We will definitely go back again.
What a lovely Christmas weekend we had. The place is well kept. We really enjoyed our stay.
Will just recommend a bigger car. The dust road is plus or minus 20 km. Very friendly staff. Thank you.
We truly enjoyed our stay. We had one of the river lodges and it was lovely. Quaint and had most of everything we needed. Kitchen was fully stocked minus a cloth for cleaning. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. On-site animals were cute, kids enjoyed those. Pools and game room was accessible. Overall, a great getaway.
We had a blast, the rooms well kept and clean, the hiking trails beautiful . Breakfast was excellent/Jean and Donovan lovely hosts Thank you!
A beautiful place, well kept with a stunning hike and lake. We stayed in the Tree Lodge which was fantastic with a stunning view of the river, but very cold. Take very warm sleeping gear. The Tree Lodge has very minimal equipment for example no salad bowl, no vegetable peeler etc. The breakfast we had one morning at the lodge was nice enough. The dirt road to the lodge (approx 20km) is not great and very bumpy (in a car you will do 20/30km per hour) but overall a fun and wonderful stay!
Lovely!!
We just loved the place. The setting in nature is perfect. The river, the birds, the environment. It was food for our souls. We will definitely be back.

Bronkhorstspruit Reviews
The place is beautiful - but the road to the reserve its bad. But overall we had fun
really enjoyed the peace and quiet
the incredible game viewing and the hiking trail was well kept and well marked
really recommend for day trips as they offer fishing and self drive around the reserve
8 fully equipped chalets and communal braai areas
clean swimming pool and shop onsite
Close and nice roads.
Did not really explore the area. The people drive like mad men. We had a near head on collision on a dirt road and watched everyone scream down it.
Road was in good condition.
Definitely the Chinese temple,
Ezemvelo Nature Reserve.
Baja Dam is fantastic! Not far from Johannesburg and a true nature feel. A must for a weekend getaway!
Very quiet and clean in Bronkhorstspruit.
