Welcome to Bethany Farm.
Self catering Granny flat, (Vetiver cottage), quiet and simple, looking out on the Tsitsikamma mountains. Hot water, shower, lamps and candles. Active permaculture smallholding setup, with foodforest, veggie gardens and livestock happening all around. Old time home produce living.
Our place is simple and not manicured; we are off the grid – running on solar panels, (so there is no 220 power around the clock, but from early morning till sunset) cooking on a gas stove, gas geyser, and refrigeration, also gas. Solar lights 24/7.
Enjoy the quiet and wake up to the sounds of birds and cocks crowing. For those who love simplicity, unfettered nature, birds, plants and soil, permaculture and trees, I think you will enjoy your stay with us.
We offer a short farm tour as well.
If you pass by on the R62, we’re 3.5 km from the Tweeriviere turnoff. Be ready to exchange lots of info for those interested in natural farming.

We were made to feel at home. We really enjoyed the rustic setting and were treated with freshly baked bread! It was equipped with everything we needed.
If you want granite tops and tv, keep looking. If you want serenity and simple living your heart will be happy!
A really lovely homely place to stay. The host, Jakes, was very hospitable and we had some very interesting chats. We were met with a wonderful warm loaf of seed bread straight out of the over baked by Linda. Lovely warm family.

Excellent hospitality, thank you for your time, knowledge and passion for the land and what you do Jakes. A very comfortable cute cottage. The warm homemade bread on arrival was fantastic and delicious. Very pretty surroundings and we will definitely stay again, only next time will be for longer.

Thank you, had comfy stay on road trip to C.T. Delicious homemade bread and fig jam was also served on arrival and we left with more figs to take on our journey.
Enjoyed our stay. It was everything as said. If you want nature & comfort you have it. It does not have to be manicured to be clean and comfortable. Loved the conversion keeping the old in the style. Lots of fruits
Restaurant are nearby like the diner R62 and more. Very affordable also. Be careful with cars that are very low dropped as the roads are very much gravel.
