Welcome to Jikeleza Lodge Backpackers,

One of the older buildings in the Central area, the atmosphere is laid back in a safe, clean and comfortable environment offering a true African experience. "Miracles Happen Here", may just be true for you. The shaded garden with the cathedral atmosphere is a great place to chill, have breakfast and start a fire in the evening to have a braai.

For the South African holidaymaker who wants to get away from it all this may not be your scene. Interaction between guests is encouraged and all the facilities such as kitchens, bathrooms, lounges and TV rooms are shared. A Backpackers has nothing to do with hiking and is a unique way of travelling. So if it is your first time, check the scene out before booking, we don’t want you to be disappointed.

Whether it's a quiet stay you need or getting into rip-roaring, thumping nightlife close by, then this “IS” it.
