The Somerset Sights B&B guesthouse is beautifully situated at the foothills of the Helderberg Mountains, nestled between the Hottentots Holland mountain range and the False Bay, with breathtaking sea and mountain views.
We’ll pamper you with attractive rooms, an excellent breakfast, warm hospitality and good service. We promise!
In Room Facilities:Our house offers 3 spacious rooms en-suite and a luxury Apartment. All rooms have high speed Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, minibar, satellite TV (German / English) and mini safe. Each room has a private terrace with garden furniture, cushioned sun loungers and chairs and a large parasol. All rooms have direct access to our heated saltwater pool.
Our rooms are beautifully furnished and offer you the kind of comfort you can expect from a very good house. Come home after an eventful day and your room invites you to relax and to feel comfortable.
Area Information:Somerset West is rightly regarded as one of the nicest suburbs of Cape Town. Here you can escape the hustle and bustle of Cape Town and yet you’re only a "stone’s throw" away from it. Somerset West is beautifully situated between mountains and the ocean and through its central location offers the ideal starting point for your activities.
From here you can be in the centre of Cape Town in 30 minutes, at the International Airport in 20 minutes and in the idyllic town of Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa, in 15 minutes. From here you can reach other wine-growing areas such as Franschhoek, Hermanus and Paarl in 40-60 minutes.

We offer our guests car rental reservations, tee times reservations and activity tips, as well as restaurant recommendations and reservations based on many years of experience in the hospitality industry.
From personal experience we know the value the breakfast has for every guest. Especially on holiday, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Let us pamper you with our delicious and varied breakfast every day.
Various fresh fruits, cereals, muesli, cold meats, cheese, pickles, a choice of juices and breads as well as eggs prepared in any style will "prepare" you for the coming day. And if you miss something, no problem, special requests are always welcome.
Our large flower and vegetable garden is at your disposal for rest and relaxation. Relax, read a book or simply take a "nap".
For refreshment you can venture a dip in our large salt-water pool or you may order a peppy cocktail, with or without alcohol. Just as you wish. Or if you feel like having a nice cup of coffee? No problem. Simply let us know.
Attractions:The attractions at the Western Cape are countless. Whether golfer or gourmet, whether sportsman or nature lover, or if you just want to relax and enjoy a bit of everything. We will provide information about worthwhile excursions, activities, culture tips and a few insider tips that you do not find in guidebooks.

Unser 1. Aufenthalt bei Peter und Mai wird unvergesslich bleiben. Sie sind zwei warmherzige und perfekte Gastgeber! Unser Zimmer hübsch sowie liebevoll eingerichtet und die Aussicht ist ein Traum! Die Sauberkeit und das tolle Frühstücksbuffet ist nicht zu toppen! Wir wurden jeden morgen mit frischen Semmeln, Krapfen und Peter's perfekten Spiegeleiern verwöhnt. Mai's Chipping-Golfkünste im eigen angelegten und wunderschönen Garten sind legendär. Unser Aufenthalt wurde durch den Lockdown "unfreiwillig" verlängert. Trotz des "Hausarrests" konnten wir die Zeit an diesem einzigartigen Ort geniessen und uns erholen. Wir kommen wieder - vielen Dank für Alles!
Mai und Peter sind liebenswerte und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, die uns vielfach, sei es bei der Tagesplanung, der Restaurantempfehlung und Reservierung oder auch bei dem Online-Check-in für den Rückflug unterstützt haben. Tolle Lage und ein sehr gutes Frühstück rundeten den Besuch ab.
Ganz tolle nette Vermieter Peter und Mai !!! Wir haben uns total wohl gefühlt. Super schönes Haus mit tollem Pool und mega Aussicht auf die False Bay. Sensationelles Frühstück mit leckerem Brot und frischem Aufschnitt sowie Eier in allen Variationen. Wir können dieses B&B bedenkenlos empfehlen!!!
Was unterscheidet ein Guesthouse das mit der allerhöchsten Note bewertet wird von anderen Häusern die auch gute Noten erhalten? Ist es die Lage des Hauses, eine wunderbare Aussicht auf die False Bay, schöne saubere Zimmer, ein gepflegtes Haus mit Garten und Pool, ein reichhaltiges Frühstück, nette aufmerksame Gastgeber, freundliches gutes Personal? Unsere Antwort darauf ist einfach: Gastgeber die es fertigbringen, dass sich die Gäste schon beim ausgiebigen Frühstück rege unterhalten, munter sind, viel lachen und einem entspannten Urlaubstag entgegensehen. Gastgeber die sich auch gerne um organisatorisches kümmern, und auch mit Rat und Tat helfen. Man fühlt sich sicher und wohl bei Peter & Mai. Wir freuen uns jedenfalls schon auf das nächste Mal.

How close it is to the wine farms, farmers markets, how close is to the ocean - really it is in the middle of all outstanding experiences that will give you an opportunity to create great memories.
