Under Oak Cottage provides a unique accommodation venue, situated in the fertile Breede River Valley, close to Wolseley in the Western Cape.
Surrounded by vineyards, peachtree lanes and a variety of other farming cultivation activities, Under Oak Cottage offer guests a true farm stay with luxurious accommodation.
The 4 self-catering cottages are perfect for a weekend break or longer and the outdoor enthusiasts will be enthralled by the activities while the more relaxed among us will enjoy the Splash Pool/Wood fired hot tub. Lounge away in front of the indoor fireplace and relax with the excellent braai facilities.

Horse About Trails-
Our magnificent horse trails and horse riding holidays start from our home base on the magical de Heuvel Farm, in the Witzenberg Valley. Here our horses live and graze as a herd in large paddocks. Our horse trails will take you through magical forests and indigenous fynbos on de Heuvel and Fable Wines, up into the foothills of the imposing Witzenberg Mountains with breathtaking views throughout the ride.
Cherry Picking-
During the season we are open 7 days a week, except closed for Christmas Day 25th December.
Trading hours are 8.30am – 4.30pm each day.
Do come and visit us and “pick-your-own” cherries on Klondyke Farm. Several varieties are available depending on the time of the season.

This was really a fantastic weekend! Everything was just perfect. Swimming in the dam, kayaking, braaing, hot tub. The place had everything we could have asked for. There were rusks and ground coffee for the French press, there was an air-con in the main room. The oven worked great and the check-in was really nice with Rhodes coming in to personally walk through and explain everything to us.
Quiet weekend break!
A lovely beautiful cottage, with an amazing view, lots of lovely small touches from the host that add to the experience. Very helpful and responsive host.
The only downside is that the hot tub does not get as hot as we would've liked.
Unfortunately due to the coronavirus situation, I had to cancel my stay. However, I would like to thank the hosts for their kindness in that situation. From the booking to the cancellation, they communicated with me, giving me all the information I needed. After I informed them that I could not come in order to respect the lock down measures, they proposed me their help to get my money back. So if I cannot review the cottage itself, I am happy to put 5 stars for the hosts and to say that I won't hesitate to book again, at that place and through AfriStay.
This is definitely the place to be!!! It's so relaxing and the wood fire hot tubs are a winner!! Will be back!!!

The vies and all the places you can visit while you stay there
Was the for one day from Saturday afternoon to Sunday morning with Gregory and friends nice and neat place would diffinetly go back loved the farm and mountain around quite and pleasent place
Wolseley is so green and beautiful. The moutain views are stunning. There is quite a bit of activities to keep you busy in Wolseley and in the surrounding areas.
It's a pretty little town and very neat. Surrounded by a beautiful mountain.
