At The Shed Farmstall and Lucern Lodge you can expect breath taking starry skies, fresh air and an enjoyable, peaceful stay.
Situated on a productive sheep farm with many other farm animals, the lodge offers cosy, self catering chalets, your home away from home.
Braai (BBQ) your own Karoo steak and relax.
A farm stall and a butchery is available on the premises. The shop stocks the famous Karoo Olives, pickled garlic and various preserves and jams. In their butchery you will find their famous biltong, drywors, and Karoo lamb.
Food orders can be placed during seasonal time at additional fees. Lamb chops, wors, salads and braaibread are available. Wood is also available on request.
The Shed Farmstall and Lucern Lodge is situated in the beautiful and peaceful Great Karoo.

We enjoyed the stay, nice and peaceful outside of town. Clean rooms beautiful rustic setting.
Enjoyed the stay. Nice to have a butcher on the premises that sells karoo lamb chops for a braai. The chalets were neat and clean. Enjoyed the rustic setting.
The environment is tranqual and quiet. It is the Karoo at its best. Accommodation is comfortable and clean. The Shed offers the best value for money every time.
We will definitely return. Peaceful atmosphere and the host is friendly.
Fantastic experience! With the brightest, most beautiful star-lit sky that I've seen in a very long time. It was wonderful to be able to have our cat with us without any stresses of her feeling trapped or unwelcome.
Everything was just great - although only one night on our way back home from Cape Town, I can really recommend the Farm Shed!
As before, everything was clean, well maintained and comfortable. Stayed over with two dogs.
Karen extremely helpful and accommodated my late arrival and early departure without any trouble. Will definitely stay over there again.
