Welcome to Thaba Tala!
Situated 280km from Johannesburg and 220km from Pretoria, this private lodge is 38km east of Vaalwater.
Thaba Tala sleeps 10 people in four very comfortable bedrooms. Two rooms are furnished with a king size bed each, one of which is a romantic rondavel next to the main house, another room has a king size bed with a bunk bed and the other room has 2 single beds. There are 2 bathrooms in the main house and 2 outdoor showers, one at the main house and one at the rondavel.
This game farm sits within the Malaria-free Waterberg biosphere, which is home to Lapala Wilderness, Welgevonden Game Reserve, Marakele National Park and many of South Africa’s premier hunting and bush retreats.
Thaba Tala is easily accessible via a well maintained road network.

What we had in Vaalwater was amazing! Things that everyone wanna see but my wish is to visit one of the best Lodges in our area which is "Tshwene lodge".
I definitely recommend it, we had so much fun and enjoyed the swimming, fishing and walks around the lodge. Its clean and beautiful. The staff are friendly and helpful. We cannot wait to go back again.
My goodness! What a heavenly place! We booked Eagles Nest and it was everything as advertised and more. Gréât cycling and game driving. The view is just incredible from our beds. The house felt just like home - cosy, inviting, easy to live in. The night skies were magical. Sunrise and sunsets breath taking. Wonderful friendly staff. Thank you!!
