The aborigine word for home is "Gunya". The name of our guest lodge is Gunyatoo, embedded in our name is our philosophy and commitment to our guests - " our home is your home". Come and stay with us a while and it can be your Gunya-too!
The stone Lodge, built in 1900, has recently been refurbished with several suites, all with beautiful views of the surrounding pine forests. Rooms, all en-suite, have their own private patio, perfect for "feet up" early morning cuppa's.
For those requiring self-catering - we offer a vary of fully equipped Cottages - 2 to 10 Sleeper options.
For those wishing to experience a more "Rustic" option - we have 2 ECO friendly Cottages situated at the trout dams.- The Stargazer 6 Sleeper & The Love Shack a Romantic 2 Sleeper -
Guests have access to the Pool Sauna Patio & dams & stream
The farm is a perfect venue for the enthusiastic fly fisherman. We offer two stocked dams with limited stream fishing for the more experienced fly fisherman. Private fly fishing lessons and group clinics can be arranged on site.

*The Lowveld and Mpumalanga Escarpment has, by virtue of its many hospitable stretches of water and active private trout breeding industry, become the mecca for fly fishermen in South Africa.
*The area is geared towards tourism with an array of activities which we will gladly arrange for you

The Sabie area is truly a birders paradise. Not only is there a huge variety of the more common bird species, but a number of globally and nationally threatened species also occur in the area
*Misty Mountain Heritage Site (6 km from Gunyatoo) holds small numbers of the critically endangered Blue Swallow, and the near-threatened Buffstreaked Chat, Secretarybird, Peregrine Falcon and Blackwinged Plover.
*The near-threatened Lanner Falcon is an occasional visitor to this site. Other, more common sightings, include Kurrichane Thrush, White-throated Robin, Swee Waxbill and Forest Canary.

Our stay at this lodge was awesome. The host is very pleasant and welcoming. Everything was just perfect.
Stayed in the Studio.. Perfect for a couple. Bob and Debbie are awesome hosts, always ready to answer any questions or give directions.... Definitely will return!!

We enjoyed the quad Biking adventure through the Forests and being able to stop on the Sabie River Bridge. Very nice.
Mac Mac falls
Great waterfalls but the road are in need of maintenance.
God's window, Buerkes potholes,the three- rondavels the vegetation oh what a beautiful sight seeing. Enjoyed Sabie.
