Onbedacht Cottage is situated on a remote working cattle farm in the Karoo, approximately 55 km from Graaff-Reinet (30km on gravel road). The Cottage offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in a small, 1-bedroom cottage It is located next to the original 1820 farmhouse that is being restored to its former glory.
The cottage contains a queen bed, an en-suite shower, a toilet, an open-plan kitchenette, lounge and dining area. The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge, a microwave, a stove, and the dining room contains a table with 2 chairs. There is a fireplace in the lounge and firewood is supplied.
Enjoy the open spaces, ideal for hiking, mountain biking, bird watching, and star gazing. It is ideal for a couple looking for a break from technology (TV & WiFi). Vodacom reception only.

Such a wonderful place, steeped in historical and natural interest. Museums, National Park and nearby Owl House.
Picturesque town, Reinet House Museum is a great stop, dinner at Pioneers, Nieu Bethesda to see the Owl House is worth the drive.
