Brandrivier is situated in Springbok, Namaqualand, Northern Cape and offers secluded, romantic, self-catering tented accommodation. The perfect tranquil getaway with amazing views on the farm.
The accommodation is beautifully furnished and fully equipped for your self-catering needs. Admire the astonishing views from the porch, the romantic Victorian bathtub and the outside shower(Skilpad only). The sound of the Cape Eagle owl or barn owls at night should make your stay even more memorable. The apartments are only serviced for guests staying more than 4 days, ideal for complete privacy. Skilpad is a family unit and does not have separate bedrooms.
There is a gas BBQ patio facility per unit which guests are welcome to use. We are off grid, but provide facilities for charging electronic equipment and for heaters in the winter. Enjoy the field guides describing the Namaqualand flowers in detail.
You may spot numerous of wildlife on the farm, from springbok, klipspringer and baboons, to porcupines and bat eared foxes.
The flower season is from June to September, and a wide variety of stunning flowers can be found on the farm and in surrounding areas. Other entrancing plants include the Quiver Tree and Tylecodon Paniculatus: known in Afrikaans as the Botterboom and in English as the Butter tree.

Every time I stay at Brandrivier I am reminded that it is a fantastic place to overnight on a road trip. Unfortunately I also immediately regret not staying longer.
It offers a great location, easy check-in and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The provided gas braais are brilliant for quickly cooking something up if you arrived late at night.

The people are open and friendly.
Springbok is a proper small Namakwa town with beautiful, friendly, heartwarming people who will take time for you, be it show you directions or where to go and nothing is too much trouble. I stayed at Leopard Tree guesthouse . Try them, amazing hospitality!!!
