A Place in Thyme is nestled in the lush and peaceful town of Bonnievale in the Breede River Valley on the Route 62 in the Western Cape. Surrounded by the Langeberg Mountains, the vineyards, the fruit trees and the spectacular Breede River makes Bonnievale the quaint, tranquil and picturesque place which is ideal for relaxation and exploration.
The guest house offer four beautifully decorated rooms with en-suite. Facilities offered to guests includes, a cozy and private courtyard with swimming pool, braai facility and deck area, which is ideal for relaxing, socializing and cooling off – especially in the valley’s warm summer evenings. Upon request, guests have access to internet, fax and laundry service.
Your stay would not be complete without savoring Elana’s delicious English breakfast that is served every morning. Set in their stylish and homely dining room, guests can enjoy a full breakfast including fruit, yogurt, breads, a hot plate of scrumptious eggs, bacon, sausage and tomato as well as coffee, teas and juice. Guests can decide what time they would like their meal to be served, or if they would like English, continental or even flapjacks for breakfast.

The nature and views are incredible.
I liked the scenic Tradouw Pass, visited the waterfall, and Die Drupkelder cave.
We had lunch at Diesel & Creme. Very impressed with their food once again.
We also visited Ronnies Sex Shop. Nice novelty pub to visit.
The mountains, nostalgia, cheese and wine...Van Loveren the best!
We enjoyed lunch at Viljoensdrift and Catharinas and also having dinner on the private patio watching the sun set over the mountains. The King size bed was super comfortable and the large fenced garden made it very private for us and our scotty dogs.
