Approximately 1,8km from the centre of town, Moncrieff Manor is close enough to the fun and excitement of Knysna and her beautiful surroundings while the elegant rooms offer a quiet sanctuary of relaxation and rejuvenation. Kevin and Betsie are available to recommend suitable activities and restaurants and, should you require them to, to assist in making the necessary arrangements. Transfers to and from George Airport may also be arranged on prior notice. Guests enjoy safe, off-street parking and free WiFi, and all major credit cards are accepted. We regret that Moncrieff Manor is not suitable for children under the age of 12.

Upon entering the stately manor house, a sweeping blackwood staircase leads you to a communal lounge area, dining room and stunning yellow wood bar where guests are welcome to enjoy their own drinks. The large patio is the ideal place to enjoy a pre-dinner sundowner while taking in the inspiring view of the lagoon, town and Knysna Heads. Relaxing loungers on the patio make for the perfect sunbathing experience.

Moncrieff Manor is proud of its policy of supporting local business and charitable organisations as far possible. Fresh produce for Betsie’s continental and English breakfasts are sourced locally and all recent renovations were expertly executed by local craftsmen. The new beds were made by the local branch of the Epilepsy Foundation of South Africa’s workshop. Water saving protocols include the installation of showers in most of our rooms and initiating water saving procedures wherever possible.
