Area Information:

The lakes form part of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The closest town is Manguzi, some 10 kilometres away. Kosi Bay estuary is 15 kilometres from the Lodge. It is one of the quietest and private beaches in South Africa. The Kosi River Mouth is known as "the aquarium" because of the clarity of the water and the abundance of fish species.

Snorkeling, turtle tracking for both Loggerhead and Leatherback turtles during their nesting season, canoeing, bird-watching, boat trips, Mozambique trips, 4x4 trails and fishing trips all form part of the activities available to the Kosi Bay visitor.

The overall stay was good. The host Roy is helpful and friendly. They also have friendly dogs around. The restaurant food is delicious and fresh. The staff at Kosi bay from the waiter to the cleaners are so friendly. I would recommend this place to be visited.
