“This beautiful 444 HA Guest Farm, is located 13 kilometres from Bonnievale, on the Boesmansriver Road, towards McGregor (see: Find Us).
The farm was developed by the Shepherd Family, who loves travelling through beautiful African countries.
Kampala derives its name from Uganda’s largest city and is spread haphazardly over seven hills.
As the sun sets on Kampala, the majestic 7 mountains are bound to catch your eye.
The farm offers 6 houses along with guest rooms, which can accommodate up to 60 individuals.
Come and explore all that nature has to offer at Kampala!”

The best place to charge you batteries.
Wow canary!!
We enjoyed the stay at Kampala being the only guests on the farm. The hosts were friendly and specially came back from their holiday to accommodate us. The dogs enjoyed the open space to roam around. The place is neatly laid out and kept very neat. Covid has taken its toll and one has to accept some shortcomings.
Pragtige plaas huisies, met alles wat jy nodig het, uitsig en plaas stilte wonderlik vir die siel!
Was a nice experience if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle and love nature. Lots of places to hike, run or cycle on the farm.
Great place to stay
Clean, comfortable and the perfect rustic getaway. Will be back!

Natural beauty and adequate shops, wine and cheese.
great camping
The nature and views are incredible.
I liked the scenic Tradouw Pass, visited the waterfall, and Die Drupkelder cave.
We had lunch at Diesel & Creme. Very impressed with their food once again.
We also visited Ronnies Sex Shop. Nice novelty pub to visit.
The mountains, nostalgia, cheese and wine...Van Loveren the best!
We enjoyed lunch at Viljoensdrift and Catharinas and also having dinner on the private patio watching the sun set over the mountains. The King size bed was super comfortable and the large fenced garden made it very private for us and our scotty dogs.
It’s a beautiful place!
Exploring the area, friendliness in the area.
Small town but not much to see.
The rich history and wine cellars. Van Loveren staff very friendly and felt welcome.
