Area Information:Modimolle is a town located near the southern edge of the Waterberg Massif in Limpopo province, South Africa. It is a medium-sized town that focuses primarily on agriculture and farming (citrus, grapes and cattle) as well as wildlife and tourism. Modimolle is also located approximately 135 kilometres (84 miles) north of Pretoria, South Africa's capital city.
The Waterberg Biosphere spreading north, a UNESCO designated Biosphere Reserve, contains approximately 15,000 square kilometers (5,792 square miles). Waterberg is the first region in the northern part of South Africa to be named as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. The extensive rock formation was shaped by hundreds of millions of years of riverine erosion to yield diverse bluff and butte land form.[2] The ecosystem can be characterized as a dry deciduous forest or Bushveld.

Bokmakierie is one of the best Guest house in the Modimolle area. The interior is modern and it is well furnished. The rooms are big and very neat. It is Private and safe as it is situated in an Estate. The owner is friendly and welcoming. Thank you so much

It was an awesome experience, beautiful place, the owner is very welcoming they must fix the bath tub tough we did not know it was leaking and had to wipe up water.

The bakery had the most divine bread rolls, and the food you wanted to purchase was available. There is a shop in the main street, Joey's "tuisnywerheid" where you can buy homemade goodies to your heart's delight!!
Small town near destination.
Very nice place.
I've spent my day at Belabela Aventura resort. Game drives, swimming,and many different games in the resort. Then I slept at a beautiful accomodation (Shakala village)at Modimolle. I also enjoyed a breakfast at Koro Creek restaurant.
