To us the cottage was just a far off dream. In 2003 we started with the rezoning of land and draft plans of the cottage. The building started in April 2004 and the 1st cottage was completed end of July 2004. We started building again in 2006 and by August 2007 we had a total of 4 cottages. All cottages are private and on the river. Sit on the stoep, put you feet up, relax, enjoy the peace and tranquility and share our dream with us. Dickter, Ada, Pieter & Johannes de Wet

Enjoyed a wonderful stay right on the Breede River with wonderful views and birdlife. The hot tub was just fantastic. Dickter and Ada could not have been better hosts - even got a guided tour of the property. It was a privilege to learn about the veld and the history of the land, which are both very dear to the owner's heart. Nothing short of a fantastic stay!!
We had a fabulous time at Asher Riverside Cottage. The cottage is perfect and right next to the river, what more could you ask for. We will definitely return. Thank you so much Ada!! :)
Perfect stay. Perfect accommodation! Loved the big stoep and the cozy hot tub! Everything required was at hand! Recommended for a private getaway far from the maddening crowds!

Natural beauty and adequate shops, wine and cheese.
great camping
The nature and views are incredible.
I liked the scenic Tradouw Pass, visited the waterfall, and Die Drupkelder cave.
We had lunch at Diesel & Creme. Very impressed with their food once again.
We also visited Ronnies Sex Shop. Nice novelty pub to visit.
The mountains, nostalgia, cheese and wine...Van Loveren the best!
We enjoyed lunch at Viljoensdrift and Catharinas and also having dinner on the private patio watching the sun set over the mountains. The King size bed was super comfortable and the large fenced garden made it very private for us and our scotty dogs.
It’s a beautiful place!
Exploring the area, friendliness in the area.
Small town but not much to see.
The rich history and wine cellars. Van Loveren staff very friendly and felt welcome.
