theLAB Franschhoek offers twelve spacious and modern rooms on a Bed & Breakfast basis. Experience the latest home automation technology in your room and operate the lights, music, blinds and shower using your voice. Meals are served either on the long kitchen table or on the patio. There is an extensive deck with fabulous mountain views where you can relax on one of the loungers surrounding the swimming pool or enjoy a soak in the jaccuzzi.
Room 2 and Room 9 are wheelchair friendly.
Room 1,6,7,8,11 and 12 have completely separate bathrooms whilst the remaining rooms are open plan with a glass wall separating the bathroom from the bedroom.
Children over the age of 12 welcome but they pay full adult rates.
You can control the lights, music, blinds, TV, shower and coffee machine with your voice as all the rooms are equipped with theLAB (the LivinAfrica Box).
All rooms have 600 thread count cotton linen and fluffy white towels, air- conditioning, a honesty bar, flat screen TV with Netflix and free Wi-Fi.
The main street of Franschhoek, Huguenot Road, is a 10 minute walk through tree-lined streets from the guest house.
Property Facilities:There is an extensive deck with fabulous mountain views and ample loungers for relaxing on. We have a pool, jacuzzi, sauna and spa.
theLAB has conference facilities in theHUB and massages and spa treatments can be offered in theDOME.
Breakfast is served between 08h00 and 11h00.
There is all day coffee available and drinks can be served on the patio. Beer on tap.
Bicycles and electric scooters are available for rent.
Visit one of the many fabulous wine farms for wine tasting or a relaxing lunch or head up the mountain for some hiking.
Relax at the guesthouse and make use of the Jacuzzi, sauna, pool and in-house spa.

One would have thought that the high-tech concept of The Lab would be at odds with the quaint "French Huguenot' influence of the surrounding area but it is absolutely not. Its instead offers a alternative which is as refreshing as an oasis !
We had a fantastic stay at the Lab Lifestyle hotel. Spotless clean rooms, divine bedding, and the most welcoming and kind staff members. The ability to watch Netflix after hopping into the sauna is just amazing. The whole stay was a real treat! Would absolutely recommend it.

Always a pleasure to go to a beautiful, clean well-run town. You can walk the town & find great restaurants, interesting shops & even play boules.
The Wine Train for sure
So many wonderful places to eat including lovely outdoor courtyards with live music; lovely bespoke shops plus some necessities like Clicks; incredible world-class wine estates with wine tasting & pairing experiences and the wine tram; lovely accommodation well-tiered; safe to walk around. For an outstanding experience and meal I would recommend La Petite Colombe on Leeu estates.
