Welgeluk Self-catering is situated on a working ostrich farm just 10km from Oudtshoorn (right next to Safari Ostrich Farm) and offers nature lovers the perfect retreat.

With every detail carefully considered, our self-catering cottages provide all the amenities for a luxuriously comfortable stay. Come and unwind in this calm, restful space while enjoying scenic views and stunning Klein Karoo sunsets from your porch.
Both cottages are fully equipped for self-catering and sleep 6 guests in 3 en-suite rooms. We’re also pleased to share that we are not affected by load-shedding.

Welgeluk Cottage:
Welgeluk Cottage has a fully-equipped kitchen, lounge area, large veranda and 3 spacious bedrooms that are all en-suite and air-conditioned. There is free Wi-Fi, DSTV, a swimming pool to cool off on those hot Klein Karoo days and beautiful scenic views right on your doorstep.
Lippy’s Cottage:
Lippy’s Cottage is a delightful little oasis surrounded by mountains, blue skies and open spaces. The cottage is fully equipped for self-catering, sleeps 6 guests in 3 air-conditioned, en-suite rooms and has a large veranda with incredible views. It’s the perfect retreat for any season with a cosy fireplace to keep the winter chill at bay and all-important air-conditioning for the sweltering Klein Karoo summers.

Wonderful host and very good accommodation. The B&B in the original homestead is also amazing.
We really enjoyed staying at Welgeluk and had such (Welgeluk=good luck)! The place seems brand new. Everything is neat and comfy. Make sure to bring spices and everything you need in case you are self catering. Basic spices were missing. The place is special and so is the owner Stan! He had plenty of ideas of what to do and proudly presented his main house, a former Ostrich palace- very impressive! There you can find a nice and refreshing pool. Thumbs up and highly recommended! If ever I was to go back I would stay here- or at the main house, which is currently renovated into a beautiful high class accommodation!
