The welcome was very friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and the facilities adequate. Greta was most helpful and offered her assistance with anything that I may have required. The close proximity to the sea was an added bonus and the whole area was peaceful and all that was heard at night was the sound of the sea and in the mornings the birds welcomed one to a new day.

Wavecrest Luxury Self Catering Suits is located in the small coastal town of Port Alfred, halfway between Port Elizabeth and East London. The property is conveniently located, near to shops, restaurants and for the more active guests, it's near to golf courses, river cruises, boat hiring and water sports facilities.

Accommodation is offered in 3 modern self-catering suites equipped with all the essentials for a relaxing holiday. All you need to bring is your beach towels. Each of our comfortable units overlooks the pristine Port Alfred beach and it’s just a 40m walk till your toes hit the sand.

Whale Watch Suite
The spacious Whale Watch Suite can easily accommodate a small family. The private entrance gives you the freedom to come and go as you please, while the sleeping area is equipped with a queen-size double bed as well as a single bed. The unit also includes a separate small suite downstairs equipped with two single beds, as well as its own bathroom which is ideal for your teenager or a friend. The modern kitchenette is fitted with a microwave hob, oven, fridge-freezer, and the full range of cutlery and crockery. The lounge area, with beautiful views, is equipped with comfortable furniture and a large television. An exceptional feature of the Whale Watch Suite is the large balcony which provides an unobstructed view of the sea.

The Dolphin View Suite is a two-bedroom family apartment with a private entrance and veranda. The large bedroom includes a queen-size double bed and is flanked by the en-suite bathroom, equipped with modern amenities. The lounge and dining area is comfortably furnished and contains a TV with DStv. The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering purposes.Leading from the main suite is a cozy second bedroom with two single beds, ideal for the kids or friends. On the patio you’ll find barbecue equipment where you can spend family evenings together while you listen to the soothing sounds of the sea.

The Cowley Shell Suite
This spacious, comfortable suite is ideal for an adult couple to enjoy. The suite boasts of unobstructed sea views from the veranda which is surrounded by a feature rock wall. It also provides easy access for a wheelchair if required. The spacious room features a queen-size double bed and comfortable lounge chairs to relax in. A large antique dresser is the main focal point in the fully kitted kitchenette, emphasizing the space in this self-catering apartment, and the large bathroom is modern and spacious.

Take a day out of town to see what else the Sunshine Coast has to offer or venture inland to the quant town of Bathurst. Addo elephant park, Kenton on Sea and Grahamstown are all accessible and a lovely day’s outing.
