Located in the pristine, open planes and woodland hills of the Dargle Valley, nestled between the Inhlosane Mountain range and natural pine forests lies the family-run Dargle Forest Lodge and Wedding Venue. A back to nature/back to simplicity, cabin-style retreat, just a short, scenic drive from the Midlands Meander offering a glass chapel and a barn-inspired venue to seat 150 guests. An idyllic place to connect with your loved ones or celebrate your special day surrounded by panoramic views.
Our wooden cabins and safari tents are set amongst a natural pine forest. Each simply kitted-out unit and tent offers a rustic charm along with all the basic comforts. Each spot has a deck or platform from which you can soak in the endless views or watch the Midland’s mist roll in around you.
Our campsite is self-catering so please bring all the camping and cooking equipment you require. Each site does have a braai facility. There are no electricity points at the sites currently.
The Farmhouse offers 3 bedrooms with comfortable beds and linen, and 1 bathroom. Bedroom 1 has 2 single beds, bedroom 2 has a tri-bunk bed with a double bed at the bottom and 1 single bed on top; bedroom 3 has a queen-size bed and 1 sleeper couch, and there is a double sleeper couch in the lounge for 2 kids. The farmhouse boasts a Jacuzzi/hot tub, a kitchen with basic appliances, and braai facilities.
Our unique setting can be enjoyed by couples, families, friends, and honeymooners. A perfect option for groups or team-building activities.
Dargle Forest Lodge is a combined dream of the farm owners Bridgette and Sean. Upon stumbling on this land in 2015, we immediately saw the potential it had and decided we just had to share this piece of paradise with other like-minded people and families. We have, in a very short two years, turned an overgrown, derelict, small farm into what it is today and we are continuing to develop it as we go from strength to strength. It’s the humble beginnings of what we hope will one day turn into what we imagine it to be.

Midlands Reviews
Midlands is a really magical place, kind of reminded me of Cape Town in some ways. Full of mountains, roses, picturesque views, cozy German restaurants and beers, and just a very special place in South Africa

Everything is a great place!!
Scenery, isolation, crispy weather but not too cold. Not too far to get to.
Threeways Getaway
The family environment with plenty to do - something to appeal to everyone. Loads of fresh air, and plenty of sight-seeing out in nature...rolling hills, farmlands, little pieces of serenity in the middle of our province; arts and crafts and home made goodies...was just great to unwind and relax and just enjoy the beauty of nature.
