This is a lovely place to stay, the cottage is beautifully decorated with a lot of attention to detail. It is well-kept and clean and the hosts are very welcoming. A great find for an overnight stay or longer.

Very beautiful and in the middle of nature. You hear nothing but your thoughts, the insects, and the fire crackling. I will definitely book there again.

Fabulous stay at the Farer cottage. Zelda was a fabulous host. We had everything we need for our over night stay. Our 3 miniature schnauzers love it. Little gem. Will definitely stay with Zelda again.

Lovely cottage & setting. Large fenced area, thoroughly enjoyed by our Jack Russell. Private, secure, quiet, peaceful. Enjoyed our stay & rest. Owner went out of her way to accommodate our special requests & made sure we enjoyed our stay.

nice for overnight stay

Our farmers stay is always the best. The house is extremely well maintained both inside and out. Your privacy is top priority along with your dogs visiting, upon arrival you are not disturbed once. This house is a big open space area, assisting in the 3 dogs with various space to move, sleep and be fed without being under our feet.

My dogs had a complete wrap around yard for their full enjoyment.The yard is beautiful with lush green grass, always freshly cut and watered along with the surrounding trees. And what would a farm stay be without having some additional farm animals our fur babies never get to see, the beautiful horses grazing next door. With our last visit after having visited 2 times before already for the year was amazing. The fenced off yard with a farmers gate held so much space for us to be able to use a flicker to throw balls around for the dogs to get rid of that little bit of extra energy for the day to head to bed

Zelda cleaned out the little pond for our dogs and replaced it with fresh water for the kids to play in.It was 100% full, by the time we left i think there is only 80% water left, they enjoyed it until the very end.

At night we would hit the brick braai with some coals and toast the perfectly tender juicy stake with some krimmel pap and sauce, every farmers dreams meal at the end of a long day with something cold to bring down the heat of the day. After the braai we would put on some wood and let the fire touch the night ski with the beautiful mountains and sunset in the background.

Bethulie itself also seemed to have some hidden gems that were discovered with our outing, a very old power house station from 1937, although not maintained anymore it was an eyeopener to the ways of 1937 and a pure historical site to see.

After an adventerous time on the road, relaxation at the farm a retirement for the evening is emenent on a King size bed, just perfect for straightening out ones back, getting the much needed shut eye in a quiet and tranquil place, surrounded only by fields and trees.

We were made to feel very welcome and it was clear that Louise was expecting us. We had a fantastic dinner at the Old Car. We were directed to places of interest by Louise!!

Super clean well equipped spacious cottage on the outskirts of town. Very friendly hostess escorting you to your cottage and make you feel at home. Enjoyed our stay.
