Reviews
I stayed in the Lemon Room over a long weekend in winter. The room contains all the basic necessities including an electric blanket. The shower is definitely a highlight - the pressure is amazing and heats up quickly.
The cottages are a quick hit’s drive from Cape Town. With a mandatory stop for pies at Peregrine Farm Stall!
We stayed in Fish Eagle, it is private and on a hill overlooking a dam. Beautiful views. The house was well equipped, and the electric blankets were much appreciated. We needed up having rain all weekend with temps of 4 degrees.
Great stay in spite of the weather.
The Road House is a beautiful home to stay at with all the amenities required to feel like home away from home. The view is incredible and the staff are super helpful.
Very friendly and responsive host, Lisa. Lovely farm dam for swimming alongside waterlilies, with spectacular bird life all around. Fish eagle cottage comfortable, but can get pretty hot and steamy mid-summer...
Awesome accommodation, private, lovely area and safe. Really recommend a stay here.
Winter time at Galileo Farm,
We stayed in Fish Eagle the weekend of 11/13 June and it ticked all the boxes: private, cosy, clean, comfortable with beautiful views and a variety of birds on our doorstep. Our boys (4 and 6) loved the walks on the farm, horses and BASS fishing. We even took a row boat for a spin!
We will certainly be back!
Thank you Lisa and team Galileo Farm

Elgin Reviews
Elgin is great and filled with lots of places to visit. I would recommend popping in at the railway market and Charles Fox (it’s a bit of a distance but the champers is with it)
The Elgin Railway Market.
Close enough to get there quick and far enough to escape the 'citylife' and experience forests, home made bakes and beautiful farms...
Great weather and a great Railway market.
Not much to do. It's more so suited for people who want to unwind.
The wine farms and Old Mac Daddy.
The peacefulness and friendliness.
The green orchards, the vineyards, the mountains.
The markets and ziplining
The wonderful cuisine available at 5 star establishments.
Walk, wine tasting, relaxing, close to cape town, but different environment.
