Looking for “A Wildlife Experience”, Panzi Lodge offers exactly this – we make it our mission for you to return soonest.
‘Panzi’, which is pronounced paan-zee and means ‘down below’ or ‘on the ground’ in Shangaan a local native language.
This name was chosen because the camp nestles comfortably in a beautiful, wooded gully which is surrounded by magical indigenous trees and bush.
In Room Facilities:The 20-bed lodge is hidden in a wooded gully with chalets that have an intimate spirit of African adventure & wildlife. Wooden pathways meander their way through the indigenous bush outwards from the main boma of the camp to reveal individual thatched units tucked into the greenery of the private nature reserve. These chalets are luxurious and spacious each with its own private deck area, this is where the bush meets some modern sophistication. All chalets are fitted with two big sliding doors giving you a 180-degree bush view. All have a spacious indoor and outdoor shower; the outdoor shower opens onto thick bush with enough privacy and beautiful views supplied with towels and amenities. Bathroom’s also have a basin with cabinet and private toilet. All rooms are airconditioned.
Area Information:Panzi Lodge is located in the Greater Kruger Region in the Limpopo Province in South Africa, roughly 500km from Johannesburg. Panzi Lodge is specifically situated within the borders of Guernsey Private Nature Reserve, which is half an hour outside of Hoedspruit and 30 minutes outside of the Kruger National Park’s Orpen Gate. We are perfectly placed to experience all the activities the Kruger National Park, Blyde River Canyon, God’s Window and the local town Hoedspruit have to offer.

Attractions:Panzi offers daily bushwalks and night drives in the Guernsey Private Nature, you stay amongst our animals giving our guests “A Wildlife Experience” to remember. Options for these are available for reservation. The updated list can be requested from our reservations staff. Bookings for activities can be made prior to arrival or once checked in based on availability. This includes game drives through Big 5 reserves and the Kruger National Park

This little Bush Lodge is exquisite. The location of the chalets is stunning, tucked away in the bushes with access through wooden pathways. The outdoor showers is absolutely private and this is where you feel one with nature. The rooms are spacious and luxurious and fitted with air-conditioning, this is a must in these parts. The viewing deck has the most beautiful view of the bush and waterhole with plenty of game to be seen, seen some buffalo, giraffe, Kudu and Zebra's. The other viewing deck have the best sunset views of the Drakensberg. Staff and food was fantastic. I would recommend this little lodge to anyone seeking a quiet bush holiday. Great location

Beautiful and Clean, pity a place like Mali Mali can upset a persons Holiday... an event that was meant to be legendary! Mali Mali is not as per there website... they manipulate the internet!
The nature.
Morokologa game reserve, we spend our Christmas at the camp and we had a beautiful game drive and morning walks with my grandmother. Played games and reconnected as a family.
Most of Gold cabins- the weather - the sound of the birds-
Since we have family and old colleagues in Hoedspruit we enjoy everything. Love going to Hoedspruit for a weekend break away.
The quietness.
It’s a beautiful town which is easily accessible and has all the convenient shopping around the lodges nearby and one is able to do various activities around the area.
Privacy!
The town is very small yet beautiful and neat. It has lots of tourist attractions and good place to visit, just to unwind!
