Reviews
It was excellent only the Wigwam is to hot on hot days.
The best relaxing weekend I had in a long time enjoying the excellent bird life, tranquility, great service and the amazing hot tub. This is very good value for money.
Farr Out is but a short 3 minute hop into town if you want to visit a restaurant or go for a walk on the beach. The dirt road to St Helena bay is a stone throw from the entry road to the guest house. Be sure to take your SUV and 4 x 4 to enjoy some of these routes.
Deon can also take you on a guided trip with his off road beach buggy if you do not have a 4 x 4.
We thoroughly enjoyed our entire stay at Farr Out Guesthouse. We stayed in the Rising Moon wigwam which was a truly unique and unforgettable experience. The surrounding fynbos and beautiful setting of Paternoster made us feel like we had the whole place to ourselves. We would highly recommend the wood fired hot tub which was absolutely amazing. Marion and Dion were incredible hosts, providing excellent tips and advice on the local area, things to do and restaurants to visit. Their recommendations were always spot on and resulted in one of the best sunsets we have ever seen. We would also highly recommend the beach front restaurant Gaatjie, another one of Marion and Dion's suggestions. We would definitely visit this beautiful place again and have already recommended it to all our family and friends.
Firstly i would like to thank our host for accepting us with that warm welcome.Never did we expect the feel so at home. Our stay was made by Nature and I would suggest if you need to take time out from your busy lifestyle, this would be the place to go. Everything felt like home just without the deadlines, appointments…etc.
Once again thank you to Marion and Deon… our baby girl enjoyed feeding the fish every morning.
Hope to see you soon.

If you're a bit thoughtful about teepees and hot tubs near Paternoster like I was, ponder no more! Go and enjoy an indigenous garden alive with sunbirds and hosts who treat you like friends. And don't turn down the tub experience - it's superb!
I chose Farr Out above many others available at Paternoster. I wanted to go to a quaint place to celebrate my 50th birthday with our best friends. What a n enjoyable experience. The owners were very friendly and informative. The accommodation was tops and the views stunning. The breakfasts served were delicious and tasty and the ambience of the B and B created by the owners made my stay really worth its while. I would certainly recommend this establishment highly to any potential visitors who would consider a stay at Farr Out.
Don't look at this little mile away from the beach and stay in a place were people will care for you... With a plus for a warm atmosphere created by the owners.
We had a lovely time in Farr Out. very friendly, relaxed, good breakfast...really nothing to complain
Gracious hosts, fine breakfast, charming spacious and comfortable rooms with an outdoor patio, and lovely landscaping complete with birds galore and a koi pond.
Plus a sheltered hot tub and a great set-up for an evening campfire. Quiet spot close to but outside town and within a few miles of the ocean.
i would recommend far out to anyone who visits the western cape the host & hostess are fantastic and nothing is too much of a effort for them to make your stay more comfortable i am going to the cape again in the new year and will differently stay there again this time for a longer period

Everything. What’s not to enjoy
Beautiful beach and great restaurants
Is Pretty
Horse Riding and lovely views.
Everything!!
Enough to do, great restaurant options, quaint town, friendly, sea side.
We had breakfast at Cathy's and it was a real treat, not only are they affordable but the food was superb! Love the ambience and the vibe in Paternoster. Everyone definitely needs to make it a point to visit this little town at least once in their lifetime.
Walking the beaches covered in shells and seaweed and other lovely stuff. Seeing so many Whales I couldn't count them.
Walking the paths surrounded in the special fynbos. The flowers are so beautiful!
The 3 restuarants I dined at were really good ~ Voorstrand, Paternoster Lodge and Blikkies Pizza.
And the staff all very friendly!
The Town is amazing, felt like we had gone back in years. Beaches super clean, which was fantastic, no litter laying around.
We found the service in the restaurants to be very poor and way over priced. We went for breakfast at the Crayfish Wharf and waited over an hour for our food to arrive and the restaurant was not full. Staff not friendly at all. Also went for a dinner and just as bad. Would think the staff would be more helpful and excited to have guests after the last year that we have had! We will definitely not go to restaurants when we go back and wouldn't recommend any to our friends. Quite sad though as the little town is gorgeous.
Was also very concerned with the people selling crayfish on the side of the roads as the tails they were selling were way undersized. There needs to be more checks as these people are raping our oceans. It was not crayfish season and they were undersized, baby tails! Stricter controls should be put in place as there were a few people selling.
White sandy beach and variety of restaurants.
